Golf At Belton Woods

Really disappointed, played Golf yesterday 18/03/2023 everything was lovely to start with, club house fine had a drink and a sandwich, pricey but good quality all good. Now the poor bit Woodside Course, greens were excellent bunkers very good fairways were an absolute bog the worst I’ve played on all winter, quite frankly the course should of been closed. Such a shame was really looking forward to playing Belton wood but fairway conditions were embarrassing in places

Group of 12 of us spent 3 days / 2 nights here again for a Society golf tournament. Service, food, course and accommodation all excellent. Already planning to hold our Ryder Cup here next year. *Edit This was our fifth annual visit for the society tournament and it didn't disappoint. Fantastic, great rooms with two king size double beds😀 very warm & welcoming, very comfortable indeed 😀 the whole complex is superb & very well looked after. The food was delicious & plentiful & served with great staff😀 the bar areas are brilliant & provided a very comfortable atmosphere to site & talk😜🤪🤪. Well setup for a golf weekend - 2 full courses and a 9 hole. Food was good, but a little pricey. Good course (we played Lakes), but expect it to be busy and slow, so over the 4.5h expected round time. Starter said it’s the 3rd busiest course in England! I’d recommend.

The hotel needs an update as it is getting very tired in places. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Bar prices were a bit steep but the food was good especially the breakfast. The golf courses were both in reasonable condition and proved a good test of golf.
