Golf At Aldwark Manor

Had a quick 9 holes here in the searing heat last week, brilliant. Ready for a revisit when they go back to 18. Lovely setting, beautiful river Ure (& a couple of midges) - oh Midge Ure! Great afters - beer & quality sandwich in a luxury setting, tremendous value & well looked after. Easy to get to if you ignore SatNav & go thru Whixley/Little Ouseburn. Enjoy.

The golf course is currently under renovation and only 9 holes are available to play. The website does state that this is the case and that you are able to play 9 holes twice if you wanted to play 18 holes. However the price has not been reduced due to the course only being half open. The condition of the holes that are open are in very poor condition. The greens had not been watered or cut and the fairways were like playing in the rough the whole way round. Good 18 hole golf course set in a lovely location. Well kept, though some of the rough grass is long and took a while to find the ball. Some challenging holes over water but good. Friendly players on the course and helpful in the club shop. Will play again.

18 holes on one of my favourite golf courses , very wet in places but great day out . Shot my best round this year would recommend .

Lovely grounds I didn't play any golf but had a walk around. Very beautiful although very wet
