  • Great Aikido club. I just started earlier this year, and I was warmly welcomed. Sensei Firestone is a great teacher, patient but keen to help students progress. Great mix of friendly and helpful black belts and lower grades. Classes at Kelvin hall are Wednesday and Sunday evenings. Wednesdays tend to be focused on technique development, while Sundays often feature more weapon practice.   • I have been practicing Aikido for around 8 years, however I am only a fairly new member to Sensei Firestone's Aikido class. My previous Aikido practice in Castlemilk closed down where I was taught by Sensei Ede who is a great teacher. Thankfully Sensei Firestone gave me the opportunity to continue my Aikido by joining his class in Kelvin Hall on a night that I can regularly make.   • The environment is light-hearted, polite and friendly. Everyone has a good laugh and is trained carefully whilst showing respect. The teacher is extremely knowledgeable, patient and eager to teach new students. Class consists of warm ups followed by breaking down into smaller groups each led by a high grade student who can demonstrate the techniques shown by sensei at the front of the class in one to one basis.
