Lovely place for everyone, adult beginners and advanced jumping lessons, hacking out options, cross country course , never boring! They have now an indoor arena for all weathers , just next to stable so great even in the rain. Good choice of horses and smaller ponies . Definitely recommend this place!

I was looking forward to my first horse riding lesson but it went off to a horrible start. I was shouted at on arrival by the older women in reception. Never have I been spoken to like this. Yet I continued to be polite. If it wasn’t for the fact I had paid over the phone I would’ve walked out. I don’t think they are used to seeing Asians at the stables. For the first time in my life I experienced racism. There is too much competition to put up with such bad manners and poor customer service....

My son had spoken with ease for the very first time he had taken his first lesson. The staff are amazing and reassuring. It was the best therapeutic speech tastic ever. Just the best experience.

I spoke with a lady on the phone and booked a beginners private riding lesson on a Saturday. When I called to confirm the time I needed to be there I was told that I was not on the list for this Saturday and they had me down in the previous Saturday's group (not private) lesson! It was their mistake obviously and when I asked if I can reschedule I was told that I have to rebook I cannot reschedule. I was extremely disappointed since not only I paid £37 pounds to have a lesson which I never go...

Some reviews say it's run down and the conditions are poor, well there must have been a lot of renovation then! Brand new 60m indoor enclosure on sand, brand new stables. The school instructors are just fantastic. Having tried several schools in the area previously, I have found the two different instructors I've had at Gillian's have an excellent attention to detail, deal well with mixed age groups and mixed ability groups, thorough, positive, best place around.
