Gavin Stewart Piano Academy

I contacted Gavin about 6 months ago looking for someone to help me reignite my love for piano. He asked exactly what I was looking to achieve, listened and then helped me achieve that sooner than I thought I could ever have done. I am now loving playing again, thanks to Gavin. Gavin is friendly, professional and knowledgable. He tailors his style to suit the needs of pupils amd takes the time to get to know you and understand what motivates you as a musician. Gavin can come to your home and it is an added bonus for me having lessons in the comfort of my own home and on my own instrument. I found it difficult to find a good piano teacher but am delighted that I found Gavin. Very highly recommended.

Gavin is an absolutely wonderful and patient teacher with both adults and children. He cares deeply about what he does; and has absolute integrity in all he does. I became Gavin's pupil in 2013 and we remained in touch after I moved away. I recently resumed online lessons with him and I am confident to say that he provides the most insightful and professional lessons. He is always patient, encouraging and comfortable in and out of our lessons. No matter the difficulty of the piece, or even if my technique needs improvement, he will always find the time to teach and guide me through. I highly recommend him.

Gavin is a very good teacher and tailors lessons to students of all ages and abilities. He has taught my teenage son for a couple of years and during lockdown continued teaching virtually, providing some normality in stranger times, which was much appreciated. He has recently started teaching my young daughter and uses different techniques and songs to keep her engaged ,which she enjoys.
