  • I had lessons with Gary for circa two years. Always wanted to try the guitar and thought I was tone deaf! Gary unleashed my talent which is minimal but at least I wasn't tone deaf. Was able to do a few songs at the end of it. I returned to live in Ireland so that was the end of my lessons with Gary but he was very a good teacher (when I only ever had very bad music teachers in school) and a good laugh too.

  • Starting as a complete novice, Gary is very understanding and is able to explain in guitar and music basics in a straight forward way. He also brings a passion for a wide varity of music and understands that there can be constraints in life that can impact practice time but will also push you as practice makes perfect

  • As an advanced guitar player, I had the feeling of being stuck at my current level. Through a course which is tailored to my interests and playing level, Gary has helped me to greatly improve my understanding of music theory. This has been especially valuable for me in writing my own composition.

  • Gary is a great guitar teacher! I am an intermediate guitarist who really needed to level up my understanding of theory. After a few conversations he developed a bespoke course that had me making progress that I hadn't experienced since my first year as a guitar student. On top of being a great player, he is a good pedagogue and a nice guy to boot!

  • Gary is an excellent teacher - kind, supportive, knowledgeable, easily reads how challenging a lesson should be depending on how my son's day is going, provides great ongoing advice on equipment, and ensures that each lesson is fun and productive. Highly recommend!
