French Institute Of Scotland

Excellent teaching, excellent facilities, and an all round excellent experience. The Institute runs a superb programme of cultural events, and there’s a really good restaurant - Le Bistrot - on site! I would highly recommend the French Institute of Scotland, and all its activities.

They have a great choice of activities and a very good library - for all ages.

Beautiful building with nice detail inside and out. Went for the Platform 2022 exhibition part of Edinburgh Art Festival. Showcasing some Scottish based artists at the start of their career. Must admit not my style of art but enjoyed my time.

Lunch at Le Bistrot, which was fab French cuisine in a bright atmosphere. The building itself is gorgeous and the location super. Good wine, too.

I’ve done one term of French class and have really enjoyed it. There have been times when I’ve been out of my depth but never left feeling that I was sinking. Great teacher, interesting subject and good use of online resources - definitely worth doing if you fancy learning French!
