In 1948, Captain Henry Fine of the Royal Army Service Corps had the innovative idea to recycle used WWII barrage balloons into bags and tents that in post-war Britain were in limited supply. Since its humble beginnings in Kings Cross the company has grown under the stewardship of successive Fine generations to offer design and manufacturing bases both in the UK and Southern China, and a resourceful supply chain with global reach.
