Farthingstone

I absolutely love this place, yes the greens arnt amazing and the hotel could do with modernising but its just awesome, it's home from home. We've been been going for about 10 years and it never gets boring, only better. We're just back from our yearly trip and as always we had a ball, every member of staff are amazing, the food is always great, and we've made some life long friends. Hopefully we might get at least 1 or 2 more trips here and we'll be devastated if it does go.

Just had few days at the golf course Real Nice course and great value. Can't belive the course is going to be destroyed for somewhere to walk dogs and ramble. Hope the current owners think again and stop the sale. It's a mistake.

Great away day for 4 guys. Stayed 2 nights, very good breakfasts and dinners. Staff helpful. Played 5 rounds of golf over 3 days. Course is a real challenge for all handicaps. Greens below par particularly first day but improved with greenkeepers out daily. Shame it is closing.

Just the most adorable golf course. Not the best quality greens but so beautiful in location and atmosphere. A true delight and a hidden gem in most gorgeous countryside with some excellent holes, requiring a good pairs of legs for the walking, and with a quaint club house, bar and places to sit outside. Just a charming experience.

Just back from a Ladies overnight golfing break at Farthingstone. We all had a great time at this idyllic, small, quiet and peaceful venue which is surrounded by lovely countryside. The staff were fantastic, the food and service was great, and the rooms very comfortable .. all excellent value for money. The golf course is varied, undulating and challenging for all standards of golfers with lovely views….
