Fakenham Golf Club

A friendly atmosphere, a choice of things to do live horse racing on certain days of the week with a chance to get on TV, have a round of golf or what I was there a game of indoor bowls, didn't turn out to good for my team, then a meal afterwards, friendly bar staff, plenty of car parking.

Excellent place with good facilities for golfers and bowlers..

Interesting 9 hole course in a beautiful setting. Chalk streams running through in parts and then finding yourself in the middle of Fakenham racecourse makes it interesting. Two sets of tees make the nine holes feel almost like eighteen. Cosy, friendly clubhouse at the end too.

Great course playing around and on Fakenham Race Course, must be a great atmosphere on race day. 9 hole course with some different Tees on the back 9. Course was a bit muddy and greens lumpy but is is winter, first few holes are woodland and some are quite tight, the holes 5 - 8 are on the centre of the Race course and are more open and forgiving. There's a few ditches to be vary of but a great course. £20 on the County Card.

I played today as a visitor after 20 years being away. Previously I had been a member for a number of years. I was very impressed, the course and people so much better than what I remember. If I lived close by I wouldn't hesitate to join again.
