Extern

I was once harassed by a naïve, and arrogant member of staff in a hostel in Belfast run by Extern. It was down to jealousy, the harassment. Anyway, I then applied for a job (part-time) to Extern, years later when I was a project worker myself and the same manager wouldn't give me any shifts out of duty to the former staff member. Who never apologised. Such are the difficult, narrow-minded mindsets in good old N.Ireland.

I echo claims of abuse by staff towards residents in Extern hostels. Laws broken, code of conduct ignored, vulnerable human beings treated appallingly by those charged with safeguarding. Corrupt practice commonplace, complaints lead to victimisation. Management free to lie, bully & abuse positions of power. There's a handful of good staff and fistfuls of pretty rotten, unapologetic and in some cases, wretched staff (management down). One amazing lady amongst support staff, one solid geezer &...
