  • Explore lifelong learning offers a great range of topics to delve into. everything from Art history to science and everything in between. Something for all. Excellent tutors willing to share their expert knowledge. All this and in such a central location! Wonderful!

  • They may be in the most ugly building in Newcastle, but the Explore life-long learning sessions are fantastic. Such a wide range of topics (arts, science, history, sociology, and more) and a welcoming atmosphere. The lecturers (regulars and guests) are all experts in their field and really engage with the audience in an interactive way.

  • Cermic imports into Western Britain in the 5th and 6th centuries seems, of the face of it, to be a dry topic. But Maria Duggan, who last year gained her PhD on this topic, deftly found the human dimension of this in the journeys of the mariners who distributed wine and olive oil along the Atlantic seaboards of Europe in these vessels; in the journeys of discovery of archaeologists passed who opened up this field fo study, Ralegh Radford and Charles Thomas; and in her own journeys tracing this...
