Ellesmere Port Golf Club

Had an enjoyable round. Quite a quiet morning on the course. An excellent track to get back into the swing of things for the new year. Great value for money.

Went to a 50th Birthday celebration. Nice room and a good selection of beers. Not to dear either.

altered my review as there has been some work done on the course and its much better than our 1st visit. Some greens still need bit TLC. But overall is a challenging course .....too many dog walkers letting there dogs just run about and playing on greens , probably why there not 100%. I dont mind the dog walkers sticking to perimeter, but have some respect for course and the people trying to maintain it....its improved that much been playing couple times weekly since last month and enjoying ...

First thoughts. We arrived and the putting green was not looked after one bit it looked like it had been set on fire (the colour it was) we then teed off and it the fairways were ok. One nuisance is that dog walkers are everywhere and they don’t follow the paths so they just roam around the course. We then discovered all the greens were in terrible condition, some had bike marks over them. Then the heavens opened and it poured with rain. It's a good course, but the fairways and greens are in need of some tlc. The price is very competitive, and you get what you pay for. As stated, good course, decent facilities (those who have played in years gone by will be sad at the loss of the burger van on t10), just wish my game was better!
