VISION It is our vision that Motion X Dance DC creates a profound connection between the performing arts and the human experience. As a dance company we connect with our audience on a deeper level, offering an emotional experience that encourages community growth and acceptance. Motion X prides itself on offering a safe environment where artists can completely expose their true selves through dance and choreography. We utilize the creativity and individuality of our artists by providing opportunities for them to explore their concepts through movement. The variety of creative voices keeps our work consistently circulating fresh perspectives and ideas and aligns with our mission of bridging the gap between the real world and contemporary dance. Motion X Dance highly values dance education. Our passion for training young artists is prevalent in our workshops and intensives as we have developed programs that offer a springboard for dancers moving towards a professional career. Motion X Dance is a unique dance force in Washington DC, opening up new partnerships and connections in the surrounding community. Through outreach, collaboration, and education we hope to use dance as a way to bring joy to the widest audience possible.
