Running a careers themed Takeover Day: Afternoon Cuppa Session     Wednesday 18 September, 2-3.30pm    Join us for an informal virtual briefing and discussion session to inspire your own careers themed Takeover Day.   Established by Kids in Museums in 2010, Takeover Day is when museums, galleries, historic homes, archives and heritage sites invite young people to take over jobs normally done by adults. Over 5,000 people, from toddlers to 25 year olds, now take part each year. This year, Takeover Day is on Friday 22 November.  The theme for Takeover Day in 2024 is careers. We are bringing Takeover Day back to its roots and highlighting how it can support young people of all ages to learn about different jobs in museums and develop their skills, both in the sector and beyond. The date also coincides with Discover Creative Careers Week.   In this session, we will:  provide a range of ideas to inspire your own careers themed Takeover Day with local children and young people, hear a case study from Chatsworth about hosting their first ever Takeover Day with nearly 700 children, create opportunities for attendees to informally share their ideas for Takeover Day or experience of other careers focused projects they have undertaken. Please bring along your own cuppa and snacks!  Take a look at the full schedule.    This event will be delivered virtually over one and a half hours.

Aqua Jems Ltd was established to provide a different approach to teaching swimming to babies, toddlers, pre-school and school age children. Our lessons are progressive and inclusive, building a close, trusting relationship between the parent and baby and then teacher and child. This enables a personalised and bespoke service in a safe, friendly style, within a warm relaxed environment, this ensures the progression of each and every swimmer is optimised. From birth to competitive swimming! Our teachers are in the water and very stroke focused, with very small class sizes, we are able to give every swimmer the attention and correction they need every lesson. We have a max of 4 children per teacher in every class for school aged children and 8 children when parents are in the water to ensure great progress is made by every child.

Tiny Toes Ballet offers enjoyable and inclusive dance classes for toddlers and kids in Cardiff, designed to nurture confidence and support development for boys and girls aged 6 months to 7 years. Through our ballet and dance programs, your child will experience the joy of dancing while developing essential skills like coordination, balance, and rhythm. Our classes also foster creativity, imagination, and self-confidence. Join us this term at Tiny Toes Ballet as we embark on summer sporting adventure in our children's ballet classes.
