Confined Space Risk Management and Permits - This course includes a basic level of confined space knowledge with the opportunity to use confined space equipment in a simulated environment and a team exercise of creating and reviewing a safe system of work. Note: A pre-requisite qualification is required to complete this course. Day 1 is a CS1 course and the Confined Space Risk Management (CSRM) can be completed as a 1 Day add-on. An axe making course is a fantastic way to learn about an ancient craft and create a tool that will last a lifetime. Over this two day course you will learn the basics of forging as well as the more advanced techniques of punching and drifting the axes eye as well as isolating mass and steel movement. Once the axe is forged as close as possible to shape we will heat treat and talk about the science and workings of why we do this and then its over to the belt grinders to refine a final edge, the last step is to shape the handle and fit it to your axe! Courses are £320 Per person per two days. All courses must be paid for a minimum of 14 days in advance to secure the date. I run a strict cancellation policy. An interactive course guiding you through the ins and outs of the 12 lead electrocardiogram (ECG). Starting with an introduction to cardiac anatomy, physiology and the electrical conduction system, we will guide delegates through how to perform a 12 lead ECG correctly and how to begin its interpretation. Using real-life examples you’ll learn the important aspects of atrial arrhythmias, heart blocks, bundle branch blocks, ventricular arrhythmias in addition to changes that occur during myocardial infarction, ischaemia and electrolyte imbalances. The course will be provided by Cardiac Physiologists and Cardiac Clinical Scientists from Manchester University Foundation Trust - one of the largest tertiary cardiac centres in the UK.
