I’m Audrey Bodman, founder of Outshine Telephone Training & Resources, a company that was born out of my passion for supporting individuals and organisations in building strong relationships with their customers and securing more business in their market. My career began as a junior at a food and drinks company. I was tasked with selling services to customers, both new and existing, over the phone and I found that just a few well-chosen words could mean the difference between no sales and several made through up-selling or cross-selling. That success was addictive, and the next step on my journey saw me advertising sales for a regional newspaper. Here I climbed the ladder quickly and improved my team’s performance through individual coaching sessions. Those two jobs sparked a passion within me that was hard to shake off. After the birth of my gorgeous son, I joined a company as ‘job club leader’ supporting long-term unemployed individuals in getting back into the world of work. It was here that I really saw how life-changing opportunities could be generated by phone, so I decided to build my own business centered around supporting people to do just that. Outshine is built on my experience as both a practitioner and accomplished telephone skills trainer with over 29 years’ of experience.

Hello, and thank you for popping by. People often ask me why I do what I do. Well, in 2010 I experienced a heartbreaking bereavement to suicide. Sadly, my son’s father, lost his struggle with poor mental health. My son and I faced the challenges and adversity that came with this traumatic experience. This bereavement to suicide contributed towards experiencing a downward spiral of declining mental health. The ‘’just keep swimming’’ mantra, so prevalent in society, became unmanageable. I was drowning and recognised I needed HELP. While researching my way back to good mental health, using tools such as GRM (The Grief Recovery Method ®), Mindfulness and NLP, I discovered that truly HELPful support was hard to find. My realisation that I needed help brought about a motivation to survive and thrive from my experience. I am a proactive and HELPful coach. I use my credentials as a Master NLP practitioner, Grief Recovery Method® Specialist and Mindfulness Teacher to provide an all-encompassing approach that has resulted in helping over 1000 people. My mission is to provide people with HELP that supports positive mental health and prevent other families from experiencing loss due to poor mental health. I Studied Acting At Stella Adler Studio In New York City. Whilst In NYC, I Was Chosen To Work On Behalf Of The Student Outreach Team That Held Regular Workshops In Schools Around New York. This Experience Led Me To Start Making Puppets And Perform Traditional Folk Stories In Local Children’s Bookshops Around New York City. How Did You Become Passionate About Childcare? In Addition To Being An Actor, I’m A Full Time Nanny And Have Worked With Children From Birth To Primary. My Motto Is To Always Enhance The Child Experience Through Play! John has been involved in the language travel industry for most of his working life. It all began when he decided it was time to leave London for the exciting buzz of Brighton and John took a role in a language school group as Regional Sales Manager. With an intensive travel itinerary John discovered how rewarding it was to meet people from different cultures around the world and to promote learning experiences for students. John’s success saw him rise to Head of Sales and he began dreaming of using his connections to form new businesses to complement the industry. In 2011 these dreams became a reality when John founded The Academy of English language school. Two years later John saw an opportunity to create year round residential centres for student groups and thus Academy Residences was formed.
