This in person fused glass workshop is held at my Derbyshire studio and gallery space in the middle of Wirksworth near Matlock.<strong fr-original-style="" style="font-weight: 700; box-sizing: border-box;"><br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"></strong></p><h3 style="color: rgb(33, 37, 41); box-sizing: border-box;" fr-original-style=" color: rgb(33, 37, 41);">About this fused glass workshop</h3><p style="color: rgb(33, 37, 41); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;" fr-original-style=" color: rgb(33, 37, 41);">For this workshop I&rsquo;ll give you a base piece of clear glass (precut and with a hole drilled (approx 30x5cm) for you to decorate with stripes of your favourite colours. I prepare lots of transparent glass to give you lots of strips to cut to length yourself. Build a design and layer as you like with extra textural details to really personalise your make.</p><p style="color: rgb(33, 37, 41); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;" fr-original-style=" color: rgb(33, 37, 41);">This is a great introduction to glass cutting, anyone can do it with the tips and tricks I&rsquo;ll show you. &nbsp;The main thing to remember is to have fun! You will play with different types of decorative glass elements and learn a little about how the kiln firing will change them. Simply complete your design during the session and leave it at the studio for me to fire, clean and finish with a lovely ribbon, ready for you to display and enjoy. A personalized 1-1 session of Shamanic Yoga is a session of healing of the body according to the blockages and limitations that appear to your eyes, which give us the key to solve in a marvellous way what your soul needs. This yoga is suitable to everyone and it is very easy and creative.&nbsp;</p><p id="isPasted" fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;"><b fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">SHAMANIC YOGA&nbsp;</b>&nbsp;is ancestral, ancient, pre-vedic. It has the element of ecstasy, of a non ordinary state of consciousness, where you work with nature, animals, yantras, mantras, mudras, rituals, initiations in the imaginal forest, in the natural code, non the social code. &nbsp;Merceliade says that this yoga is the oldest form of yoga and we find it in various traditions: Hindu tradition (Shaktism), Himalayan (Naropa, Milarepa etc), South America (Andean yoga), Siberia, Mongolia, Japan (Yamabushi), Taoism, Alchemy.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Shamanic yoga is not an exercise of the body, but a mystical, esoteric and initiatory healing practice that is distinguished by two characteristics; the first is <strong fr-original-style="" style="font-weight: 700; box-sizing: border-box;">ecstasy</strong>, the ability to communicate with the invisible, regaining the state of non-duality that is the typical goal of the yogin&rsquo;s path. Chynna is the founder and CEO of Matriarch Made Development, a consulting firm that helps organizations develop high performing administrative teams and identify and address overall operating structure
and events logistics inefficiencies. From helping leaders figure out their onboarding, communication flow, event logistics and how to further develop the talents of their teams, Chynna supports leading organizations in creating a systematic approach to tackling business/events challenges and bottlenecks.
Prior to Matriarch Made, Chynna worked in the personal office of Barack and Michelle Obama as their Director of Travel and Event Operations. Her career also includes administrative roles at Disney and the White House where she served as “body woman” to Mrs. Obama during the Obama Administration.

Kate is a business owner, qualified coach, consultant, facilitator, trainer, podcaster and public speaker with a background in learning & development, employee engagement strategy, continuous improvement, communications and marketing. After 25 years working across the board in blue-chip, non-profit and civil service organisations she now provides support to businesses looking to evolve and become great places for people to work in and with. 
Having worked with a wide variety of clients from school-age students to senior executives, she has been designing and running workshops, seminars and classes in person or via web events since she left long commutes and corporate roles behind in 2014 when she created her first two businesses. Her passion is in improving working relationships between roles and functions, supporting people to discover how to be their best selves at work. She does this in the auto-motive industry, financial services, medical teams, charities, global media, retail, education systems and the arts.
When she’s not working, she and her classic car Monty Morgan can be found zipping around the English countryside.

What is The SHARE Project?
The SHARE Project is built on a simple principle: you need to put your own oxygen mask on first!  By nurturing yourself, you’re better equipped to support your children. Through our four-week, live online workshop series, delivered via Zoom, you’ll discover practical tools to bring more calm and happiness into your daily life.

A talk with NIKKI PARMENTER - Textiles/Mixed Media Artist

Join our TEA ’N CHAT with Textile Artist Nikki Parmenter, who will talk about her work, explaining some of the techniques she uses.
