I'm a work and home life balance and female business coach specialising in empowering female entrepreneurs with well-being businesses to be resilient and successful. My mission is to help women entrepreneurs who help those, that help others, to help themselves, so that you can manage burnout and be content in juggling work and home life. I help female wellbeing business entrepreneurs who are navigating the often chaotic and demanding needs of life and work, providing you with the support, tools and strategies you need to thrive both personally and professionally in your corner of the world.   I'm triple trained - as a coach, a psychotherapist and a supervisor. This means you get the best of both worlds. I have been helping people with change for about 25 years, so you get the wealth of my professional experience, plus, I know firsthand, the realities of the juggle, having set up my own wellbeing business whilst having a family, running a house and studying! My curiosity about humans and personality began in childhood. I observed my family with confusion and was often told; 'Don't be so silly!' I later worked in Primary & Secondary Mental Health, Higher Ed & Not-For-Profits where I observed parallels to my Childhood! The struggles of mental ill health Mental illness is the second-largest source of burden of disease in the UK with 1 in 4 in the UK experience mental health issues and a whopping 792 Million affected worldwide. Burnout has now been classified as a disease by the World Health Organisation with 74% of people saying they have felt so stressed they have been overwhelmed or unable to cope. 51% of adults who felt stressed reported feeling depressed and 61% felt anxious 46% reported an unhealthy diet, 29% started to drink to excess and 16% started or increased smoking. Burnout is a global problem, with 602,000 workers suffering from work-related stress, depression or anxiety. £8.4 billion a year in sickness absence - the average employee taking seven sick days per year, of which 40% are for mental health, or 72 million lost working days per year £15.1 billion a year in reduced productivity a year – ‘presenteeism’ accounts for 1.5 times as much working time lost as absenteeism and costs more to employers because it is more common among higher-paid staff £2.4 billion a year is spent replacing staff who leave their jobs because of mental ill health.

Octavia Raheem is a wife, mother, author of two books Pause, Rest, Be and Gather, rest coach, chief executive daydreaming officer, and yoga educator. She founded Devoted to Rest + Starshine & Clay Online Yoga and Meditation Studio for Black Women and Women of Color. Within her rest and work she threads poetry, prayer, and time tested practices into a blanket of experience under which individuals can gather and rebuke stress, fatigue, and burnout. The foundation of Octavia’s rest work is Black Church (rooted in the South USA), restorative yoga, Yoga Nidra, and meditation. Her deepest offerings lead driven, ambitious, visionary, and highly impactful women to awaken the fullness of their wisdom, power, and clarity through rest. Octavia has over 20 years of experience and well over 10,000 hours of designing and delivering classes, restshops, workshops, immersions, and trainings that transform, heal, and restore individuals and organizations. In 2021 Yoga Journal magazine recognized Octavia as one of fifteen experienced yoga professionals who have elevated and changed the field on a global scale. Gayle founded Mindproof Ltd after working with adults and young people aged 16+ in mental health for over 10 years, predominantly within NHS services. During her time with the NHS, Gayle has helped many clients overcome a wide variety of common mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias and trauma and specialises in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) as well as EMDR therapy. Gayle is a fully accredited member of the industry’s governing body, the BABCP, which is regarded as the highest ‘gold’ standard a CBT psychotherapist can achieve. Gayle has written several research papers on topics such as burnout and engagement within the workplace and the use of CBT for the prevention of depression, for which she was presented an award from the University of Oxford. Gayle holds a full CBT Diploma and graduated with distinction from the world renowned University of Oxford’s Cognitive Therapy Centre (OCTC). Gayle also has a first class Masters degree in Psychology and has achieved further distinction in postgraduate studies of Psychological Therapies (PG Cert) and has trained to the highest level (Level 3) in EMDR therapy. Gayle has a wealth of experience working both within clinical and non-clinical environments and has run numerous training and workshop sessions for corporates, universities and public sector organisations. Gayle is passionate about enabling people to overcome their mental health difficulties and to develop the mental resilience to lead fulfilling lives and function the way they want to, both now and in the future.
