<p>We will learn about the patterns in nature through looking at different leaf shapes and using these to create monoprints.</p>

<p>This workshop is run by ART IN THE PARK: Art in the Park aims to involve people of all ages and abilities in designing and making art work at their studios and outdoor sites. Located in the centre of Burgess Park in South East London and run by practising artists, Art in the Park works with schools, community groups and professional teams on tailor-made educational art and heritage projects and training days. AITP also works with the public in creating permanent public artworks.</p>

<p>We would love to invite you to Art in the Park's ONLINE Portrait Drawing Session with Claudio Giuseppe posing live for us!</p>
<p>Materials needed: Any paper you have around the house of any size and any drawing materials - pencils, coloured pencils, felt tips, oil or chalk pastels, or charcoal.</p>
<p>Claudio will do a combination of different portrait poses for us to draw from. They will be short poses of 5, 10 and 15 minutes. There will be an experienced Art in the Park artist present who can offer advice if needed and will show artist inspiration but of course feel free to draw however you want.</p>
<p>At the end of the session, we would love it if you could stay and hold up your drawings so that we can see your work. Also we would love it if you emailed your finished artwork to studio.artinthepark@gmail.com or tagged us in them at @artinburgesspark on instagram or @artintheparktwt on twitter.</p>

As chief talent-spotter, Clare loves to discover memorable new characters, bold and unique voices, strong concepts and gripping storytelling. A talk with NIKKI PARMENTER - Textiles/Mixed Media Artist
TUESDAY 15TH OCTOBER
START TIME: 7.00pm 
Join our TEA ’N CHAT with Textile Artist Nikki Parmenter, who will talk about her work, explaining some of the techniques she uses.
She will also demonstrate the plastic entrapment method she will be using for her workshop on Wednesday 6th November and show some finished examples. This will entail some layering of fabric, soldering and free machine embroidery and some ideas regarding ways of displaying the finished piece. 

Nikki taught art for 30 years to secondary school children, and having left full time work in 2016 , has been providing talks, demonstrations, summer schools, workshops to schools, groups and societies. She is a member of various art and textile groups.
She exhibits her work widely and has written a number of articles for both magazines and online sites. She is based in Cheshire and specialises in mixed media textile pieces, taking inspiration from a variety of sources and particularly interested in the way societies created a series of visual symbols to represent the things which were important to them. She investigates myths, legends, stories and beliefs. She is also inspired by art, architecture and artefacts.
