About NSW Netball South West is managed by the Regional Management Board (RMB) which consists of voluntary, elected and appointed trustees. The trustees chair one of 5 working groups which are responsible for matters such as ‘competition and events’, ‘education and training’ and ‘marking and communications’ and have certain other responsibilities such as heading up our relationship with Team Bath. The RMB is responsible for the management and development of Netball in the South West, identifying and meeting the needs of everyone involved in netball to enhance participation experiences and encourage the uptake of the sport. The RMB co-ordinate the Regional Performance Programme, organise the Regional Leagues, oversee the strategic future of netball in the South West and continually seek to develop coaches, umpires and volunteers. Blackrock Athletic Club was founded in 1944. From a small beginning during World War 2 it has developed into the biggest athletic club in the country. The club evolved from a volunteer military unit and started out with around 20 members, many of whom first came into contact with athletics through inter-service (army) competition. Joe Hodgins brought the first national title in 1950 and since then it has grown from strength. In the initial stages, it catered for men only. The main reason for the exclusion of women from athletics stemmed from the church’s opposition to them participating in a sport that demanded physical exertion. It was to take a further 25 years before there was a change in attitude in this respect, which allowed for the introduction of athletic competition for women. The club has benefitted immensely from this development. A few efforts were made to get juvenile athletics of the ground before the current junior section was established in 1980. It has continued to grow and expand and today there is a queue up of young children waiting to get in. A Fit4Life section was introduced to the club in 2013. This development allows runners and joggers to enjoy all the benefits of running in a social, safe and organised environment. The club has come a long way in that it can now cater for everyone, irrespective of their ability, that wants to run. The club’s training grounds is at the picturesque Carysfort Park, Blackrock where it has been in situ since 1994.

Overall, TRAINING BRAVE means adopting a human-focused approach to ensure athletes are valued as humans – worth more than their times and performances, and coaches feeling comfortable and better-equipped. We hope to inspire more athletes to share their stories, raise awareness of the risks of eating disorders and relative energy deficiency in sports (RED-s), provide more resources for coaches and clubs, and create an on going discussion to ensure we encourage a non-judgmental, honest a blame-free environment in which athletes of all ages and levels of competition can flourish. We hope to push for changes to improve the culture and environment, provide up to date resources and where possible signpost to appropriate support services, in order to prevent this problem from growing.

3Degreez Allstarz CIC is Hereford's Cheerleading and Dance community club. We are a not for profit company, running a range of cheerleading, tumbling & dance classes at our 2 Hereford locations. Allstar cheerleading includes many elements from stunts to gymnastics, jumps to performance & dance. Allstar cheer provides so much more than that, our sport helps build confidence and self-esteem in individuals as well as building leadership and teamwork skills, and strong friendships for life. We have classes available from as young as 9 months old all the way through to adult fitness, running parent and tots sessions, recreational cheerleading classes, 1-2-1 tumbling sessions, and competition cheer and dance teams. Owner & resident instructor Richard "Jumbo" James is a life long 4 wheel drive enthusiast who has been welcoming visitors to Wood Park Off-Road for over 20 years. Richard was a finalist in the Land Rover Driver of the Year competition (1996) and has since participated in numerous 4x4 events including the famous Mille Rivieres in France which he describes as the "most exciting and scary offroading he's ever done", accompanied by his youngest daughter Olivia as navigator. Richard is a member of the West Wales 4x4 Club and frequently participates in local 4x4 trials. He is also a member of 4x4 Response and uses his off-road skills to assist the local community in poor driving conditions when other vehicles may be unsuitable.
