About Be The Change Be The Change is an award winning youth organisation based in Bolton. Our name reflects our commitment to developing young people who are a positive force in their community, and bringing people together who represent Bolton in all its diversity. We started out delivering weekly football sessions, and our work has expanded to include a range of sports and arts programmes, knife crime prevention workshops and mentoring activity. Alexandra was born in the USA and spent her formative years in London and Glasgow. Her musical abilities were recognised from a very young age and she began having regular piano and vocal lessons at the age of four. Alexandra had the honour of being the youngest singing student to be accepted at the prestigious Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. Whilst studying there, she benefited from singing lessons, vocal workshops and master-classes with both formidable voice teachers and visiting leading professionals. This early exposure to such a high standard of coaching was a great source of inspiration for an aspiring young soprano. Alexandra was invited to attend the Association Of Teachers Of Singing training course for four consecutive years, which provided her with a solid foundation for developing her own teaching technique which she loves to share in her own teaching lessons. Having always had a special love of Scotland, it seemed to be a natural progression for her to complete her studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow (now known as The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) where Alexandra was awarded her Bachelor of Music with Honours Degree. Now based in Central Scotland and accessible from Falkirk, Stirling, Glasgow amd Edinburgh, Alexandra enjoys working as a freelance singer (soprano) and singing teacher. She is currently delighted to be working with Music in Hospitals and Care (MiHC) with whom she has regular concert engagements and tours.

Motion X bridges the gap between the human experience and contemporary dance. We create inclusive work that promotes thought, while celebrating the artistic and technical skill of our dancers. VISION It is our vision that Motion X Dance DC creates a profound connection between the performing arts and the human experience. As a dance company we connect with our audience on a deeper level, offering an emotional experience that encourages community growth and acceptance. Motion X prides itself on offering a safe environment where artists can completely expose their true selves through dance and choreography. We utilize the creativity and individuality of our artists by providing opportunities for them to explore their concepts through movement. The variety of creative voices keeps our work consistently circulating fresh perspectives and ideas and aligns with our mission of bridging the gap between the real world and contemporary dance. Motion X Dance highly values dance education. Our passion for training young artists is prevalent in our workshops and intensives as we have developed programs that offer a springboard for dancers moving towards a professional career. Motion X Dance is a unique dance force in Washington DC, opening up new partnerships and connections in the surrounding community. Through outreach, collaboration, and education we hope to use dance as a way to bring joy to the widest audience possible. In doing so we will stay true to our mission, showcasing technical strength while generating innovation in the performing arts.

ewbury Speakers provides a safe, supportive and positive learning experience in which members learn to develop their communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Members learn and practice in a friendly, non-threatening environment. They learn and practice alongside other people who are there for the same reason. They are taught by people, who just like them, were hesitant about public speaking but have now successfully developed their public speaking skills. Together everyone grows and develops their confidence and communication skills. And, best of all, they usually have fun as they learn. As a non-profit organisation Newbury Speakers is run by volunteers that give their time to help run the club. Community Outreach Newbury Speakers has been part of the Newbury Community for over 35 years. The club has staged numerous events such as free workshops and a Speakers Corner in the Market Place. Members have given speeches at local networking clubs and facilitated Speechcraft courses for corporations in the area. Speechcraft is a program designed to help develop public speaking skills and confidence in front of an audience. These skills are learnt over six two-hour sessions, one session per week. During each session participants learn and practice speaking and communication skills, and have the opportunity to learn and receive feedback from experienced speakers. The skills learnt by the participants, are not only relevant to public speaking but to all situations where verbal communication is required.

Businesses in the Southern and Western areas of Bracknell voted in favour of plans to set up a Business Improvement District (BID) to run from 1st April 2020 – 31st March 2025. The positive ballot result follows 18 months of planning, in-depth interviews, surveys and workshops and a month-long ballot in which businesses in the area were asked to vote on the proposals. 63% of votes cast voted in favour of the BID by total number of businesses, and 88% of votes cast voted in favour of the BID by Rateable Value. As a result of the yes vote, the Bracknell Business Improvement District (BID) started on 1st April 2020. Businesses with a rateable value of £12,001 or above will pay a levy based upon their rateable value, creating a collective fund of more than £3 million to spend over the next five years. The plans were driven by a steering group of business representatives from across the area, who have now formed the Bracknell Investment Group Ltd. This is the company that will manage the BID. Bracknell BID is governed by a board of directors of the Bracknell Investment Group. The BID Board consists of representatives from all sectors within the BID area to ensure balanced representation. Directors are volunteers from businesses and partner organisations who give up their time for free. They are supported by Partnerships for Better Business Ltd, who develop and deliver Business Improvement Districts across the country.

The University of West Attica (UNIWA) was founded in March 2018 by the National Law 4521. The foundation of the newly established University resulted from the merging process of the former Technological Educational Institute of Athens and the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences. UNIWA is a dynamic and constantly evolving institution that strives to fulfill its vision and mission, and to achieve its goals investing in the development of modern teaching methods, adapted to students’ needs and responsive to competitive labor market and society requirements, as well as in its modern facilities and infrastructure (i.e., teaching resources, classrooms, laboratories/workshops, scientific equipment). Our University offers contemporary Undergraduate and Postgraduate study programmes, which give our graduates the opportunity to acquire specialized scientific knowledge, skills and competences, linking academia to both society and the labor market. At UNIWA, there are twenty-seven Departments operating under the academic umbrella of five Schools, covering a wide range of scientific fields, such as social, administrative and economic sciences, engineering sciences, health and welfare sciences, as well as food sciences and applied art and culture studies. According to official data, UNIWA is the third largest university in the country with regard to the number of undergraduate students whereas it hosts over 57,800 students in total.
