Eco Glitter fun was born from two fun-loving party animals, whose mission is to bring responsible sparkles and plastic pollution awareness to the world. We sell biodegradable glitter pots and sets online, via retailers and we partner with brands, events, and influencers - all in aid of spreading the 'reduce plastic' message. Supporting ocean & LGBTQ+ charities 1% of our website sales goes to Ocean Generation, an inclusive global movement  that exists to restore a sustainable relationship between humanity and the Ocean. They see a world where the Ocean is freed from human threats within a generation. My Name is Bailey & I am a graduate of Manchester School of Art. My art focuses on well-being and mental health and how art can help improve those aspects of people’s lives. Much of my work has involved engaging with people from all walks of life, collaborating with other students and artists, arranging exhibitions and working with venues and Manchester-based charities and even setting up this website. Our Stories Matter combines my art (with a focus on self-care and wellbeing) with community input, be it personal stories about mental health or collaborations with charities and other artists. Bird Farm Alpacas - Mission Statement Bird Farm is a place of sanctuary for all who visit and spend time here. We have a cosy craft studio in the beautifully converted barn, with plenty of tea and cake to share! We know from our own experiences the value of spending time outside in nature, with animals, growing food or crafting with willow or fibre. We host a monthly community craft group on the first Wednesday of the month and 'Basket cases' monthly willow weaving group on the last Monday of the month. Please email or message to know more. The Bosco Centre, located at the eastern end of Jamaica Road, is home to a post 16 Vocational College, a nursery and youth club. At the heart of everything we do is our total commitment to improving the lives of local young people. This passion and commitment has grown from the work of one person. A person who was born in the west of Scotland but who found her spiritual home in Bermondsey. Sister Cecily Dunn’s arrival in Rotherhithe was not expected. She had to be hastily evacuated from Liverpool after her relentless desire to help young people had angered the local drug dealers who saw that her powerful message was stripping them of their customers. This ability to disrupt for the good of young people was to characterise her for the rest of her life.

This is a small, friendly and informal class particularly suited to beginners or those who are not particularly familiar with yoga. Each pose or asana will be explained and adaptations suggested if needed. The aim is to understand one’s own body, its strengths, challenges and capacity for movement. We explore how to bring new energy to the movements through the breath (prana) and letting go. You will be amazed at how regular yoga practice will improve your mental and physical well-being. Give it a go! Wear stretchy or loose fitting comfortable clothing. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day so that you are well hydrated for the class. Avoid eating anything heavy 2 hours or so before a class. Please bring a mat and towel or any other props you may need such as blocks or belts. I’m afraid no equipment is provided.

WORKSHOP DETAILS * Location: Abi Higgins' beautiful rural studio and grounds in Christow, Devon, South West UK. Easily accessible from Exeter, which has both an airport and a train station. * Accommodations: A range of local B&Bs and other accommodations are nearby for your convenience. WHO SHOULD ATTEND Our two-day workshops are perfect for ceramicists of all levels: * Those with limited or no previous knowledge of alternative firing techniques. * Experienced ceramicists looking to expand their skills with new techniques. WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS * Types of Clay and Making Techniques: Learn about the different clay bodies suitable for alternative firings and various making techniques. * Raku Glaze Application and Firing: Explore the process of raku glazing and firing. * Burnishing and Naked Raku: Get introduced to burnishing techniques and the two-step naked raku process. * Horsehair/Feather Firing: Experiment with adding unique effects using horsehair and feathers. * Saggar and Barrel Kilns: Make and fire a 'mummy' saggar, prepare pots with plant decorations for saggar firing, and load and fire a barrel kiln. MATERIALS AND PREPARATION * Bisqued Pieces: Participants should bring suitable bisqued pieces, either sculptural or vessel forms.
