Choose from 3 options of pre cut glass bases and create either a bowl, sculptural wave or hanging panel.<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">Round Bowl &ndash; approx. 17cm. &nbsp;Wave &ndash; approx. 32cm across x 7 tall. The main thing to remember is to have fun! You will play with different types of decorative glass elements and learn a little about how the kiln firing will change them. Simply complete your design during the session and leave it at the studio for me to fire, finish and clean up for you. You will learn how to prepare your furniture, using wood filler, expert sanding and paint techniques. You will learn to create stunningly modern geometric designs that are simple to achieve. By the end of the day you will leave with a gorgeous piece of upcycled furniture, feeling confident of your skills and full of ideas for future projects. The workshops have a relaxed and informal atmosphere where we can inspire each other and have lots of fun along the way. To ensure you get my full support throughout the day class sizes are limited to 6 people. All you need to bring is an unpainted, wooden piece of furniture. This should be easy to carry and no larger than a bedside table or wooden chair. Contact me with any questions or for recommendations of where to source your preloved piece. Send a picture of it if you would like advice. All abilities are welcome. It can get messy so please wear clothes that you don&rsquo;t mind getting paint on. All other materials will be providing, including your own information pack to take home, detailing all that is covered in the workshop. She is based in Cheshire and specialises in mixed media textile pieces, taking inspiration from a variety of sources and particularly interested in the way societies created a series of visual symbols to represent the things which were important to them. She investigates myths, legends, stories and beliefs. She is also inspired by art, architecture and artefacts.

The Textiles Skills Centre Associates are a team of volunteers that manage the social media platforms and website, and offer support, mentorship and advice to textile teachers and trainees. We organise free resource networking events each month (Tea 'N Chat) and are always on hand to help and encourage when needed.

HARNESSING THE POWER OF THE BREATH
The way we breathe affects everything we do, everything we think and everything we feel. It affects our sleep, our digestion, our immune system, our energy levels, our emotions, our ability to think clearly and our relationships, to name but a few.
In this course we will be combining my passions of Qigong and Breathwork to help bring us into balance so we can move though Autumn into winter full of peace and vitality.
Why Qigong and Breathwork?
Qigong is breathwork (Qi is Breath), it is an amazing way of opening and clearing the body, of making space for our healthy energy to flow. It allows us to stay relaxed and receptive without forcing or pushing. It is easy to learn and naturally attuned to your individual body and how it wants to expand, release and recharge.
Breathwork is simply bringing our conscious attention to our breath and is one of the most powerful ways we have to change our state at any given moment. In the course i will introduce you to eight different breath techniques to help you to breathe better. Commit to just 10mins a day and you’ll be amazed at the results you can achieve.
Everyone is welcome to join the course no matter your experience.
