I have always had a passion for swimming, with over 8 years’ experience in swim teaching I have been able to adapt an approach to swimming that is both enjoyable and educational. Not only is it important for the children to learn to swim from point A to point B, it is important for them to do it confidently and safely. Children have amazing imaginations and this is a central theme to classes. We encourage a family environment, where parents can congratulate their own and other children’s achievements. Rewards are given to children when they achieve something both significant and individually special to them. I started off teaching school age children from beginners to improvers, then expanded into advanced level. I still could not stop there and have broadened my skills to cover teaching adult swimmers and parent and baby classes. After having my daughter, Dottie, I became much more passionate for parent and baby classes. Appreciating first-hand the benefits, nothing is comparable, it is heart-warming to see a happy baby amazed by water. Children tend to take to lessons better and can be swimming independently at a younger age if they have attended parent and baby classes.

Leona Creator of Artists Resource & Lead Facilitator Leona created Artists Resource in 2011 with the Mission “To bring people together, to nurture Creativity and facilitate Transformation – for the benefit of the individual and the community.” She started with one small Art club in North London and in just a couple of years had grown to teaching in Schools every day and hosting Art Parties and Classes at the weekend. In 2018-19, Leona has provided Art workshops for the England football team and BAFTA. Leona has a strong background in material processes and techniques, having a degree in Applied Arts and applying that throughout her career. Prior to setting up Artists Resource, Leona worked for a Art & Craft company, managing concession stands in Harrods, Hamleys and UK Trade Fairs and made Mosaic Murals for School Playgrounds with a local Artist. She also worked on the Art Dept for various independent short and feature films. To get started all you need to do is join one of our beginner course that run all year round every year, we are a family school so you will be made welcome nonmatter your background or reason for training. Feel free to just make a note and turn up ready to start on the night in your location of choice or contact the school so we know to expect you as well before hand by phone, txt or email. Once you have started and then complete a beginners course you can then decide if the skill is right for you and if you would like to become a member. This course covers around 16 to 32 hours of training depending how many classes you attend in each location and the aim is to get you to a basic level of understanding so you can identify and develop what's needed as quickly as possible right from the start. There is nothing I love more than listening to your goals and obstacles and setting out a structured plan for the future, all with the aim of living a better quality of life and making you feel fantastic in body and mind!” “Never stop learning because life never stops teaching!” I took my first yoga class at age 16 whilst working as a fashion model in London. It wasn’t until adult life, after going through a series of experiences which led to a deep depression that I was brought back on to my mat once again and really began a deep understanding and connection to the benefits yoga. I teach at several venues in Hertfordshire and abroad. I am trained in hot yoga but I also teach non-hot and enjoy guiding yogis from early beginners to advanced practitioners. Yoga is a practice for everyone and although my journey as an instructor started as mind rehabilitation and a spiritual journey, utilising breath and mindfulness, I have come to recognise the health benefits for the body. The company was set up to bring Archery into the community for anybody and everybody. We want to break through some of the barriers that stop many people from entering into the sport. Archery can be a daunting sport to enter for people who just want to try the sport out. A big financial commitment at the outset can be off-putting. At Northern Archery we want to be different. We offer archery on a pay as you go option as well as the traditional club option paying fees annually. Martin Leonard I have been involved with archery since 2007. Like Ian, I did my beginners course with Kendal Bowmen and have not looked back. I started shooting the recurve bow, but after a short time, I picked up an English Longbow and I was smitten. I have now shot Longbow over 7 years. I own various Longbows but the one I prefer is an Aidy Hayes bow. I am currently part of the Cumbria Archery Association Squad. In 2013 I was part of the Cumbria Longbow Squad that won the Pentangle. Completed Archery GB and 1st for Sport Archery Level 1 coaching in 2012, I Am currently completing Archery GB level 2, I hold an enhanced DBS check and Educare Child Protection Awareness Certificate.
