<p><strong>The VILT will be delivered online in 5 half-day sessions comprising 4 hours per day, with 2 x 10 minutes break per day</strong>, including time for lectures, discussion, quizzes and short classroom exercises.</p>
<p>Additionally, some self-study will be requested. Participants are invited but not obliged to bring a short presentation (10 mins max) on a practical problem they encountered in their work. This will then be explained and discussed during the VILT. A short test or quiz will be held at the end the course.</p>
<p>The instructor relies on a highly interactive training method to enhance the learning process. This method ensures that all the delegates gain a complete understanding of all the topics covered. The training environment is highly stimulating, challenging, and effective because the participants will learn by case studies which will allow them to apply the material taught to their own organization.</p>

<p>Your specialist course leader has more than 32 years of practical engineering experience with Ontario Power Generation (OPG), one of the largest electric utility in North America. He was previously involved in research on power generation equipment with Atomic Energy of Canada Limited at their Chalk River and Whiteshell Nuclear Research Laboratories.</p>
<p>While working at OPG, he acted as a Training Manager, Engineering Supervisor, System Responsible Engineer and Design Engineer. During the period of time, he worked as a Field Engineer and Design Engineer, he was responsible for the operation, maintenance, diagnostics, and testing of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, motors, transformers, inverters, valves, pumps, compressors, instrumentation and control systems. Further, his responsibilities included designing, engineering, diagnosing equipment problems and recommending solutions to repair deficiencies and improve system performance, supervising engineers, setting up preventive maintenance programs, writing Operating and Design Manuals, and commissioning new equipment.</p>
<p>Later, he worked as the manager of a section dedicated to providing training for the staff at the power stations. The training provided by him covered in detail the various equipment and systems used in power stations.</p>
<p>In addition, he has taught courses and seminars to more than four thousand working engineers and professionals around the world, specifically Europe and North America. He has been consistently ranked as 'Excellent' or 'Very Good' by the delegates who attended his seminars and lectures.</p>
<p>He written 5 books for working engineers from which 3 have been published by McGraw-Hill, New York. Below is a list of the books authored by him;</p>

This 5-day training course covers the principles and practices of directional drilling, calculations and planning for directional and horizontal wells. Specific problems associated with directional and horizontal drilling such as torque, drag, hole cleaning, logging and bottom hole assembly design, are included. The use of downhole motors, rotating and non-rotating steerable systems as well as the conventional rotary applications will be explained. Students will learn to design and evaluate a horizontal well based on the objectives for that well. Furthermore the students will get the basics of multilateral wells.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Additionally the participants will become familiar with tools and techniques used in surveying a directional or horizontal well. The last part of the course includes an exercise where the students have to drill a pre-planned well on a computer simulator. The software simulates a conventional rotary rig, equipped with two National 12P160 mud pumps and a complete mud treatment system. All required drilling equipment such as drill bits, drill pipe, drill collars, survey systems, downhole motors are available. The student will have to analyse the planned well and decide what type of assembly to use for the section to be drilled. This can be a conventional rotary assembly, a motor and a bent sub, a steerable system and even medium radius tools. The student will have to make up a correct BHA, run it in the hole, take a survey (with MWD or with gyro or single shot), orient his assembly and start drilling.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">As in real life and when using an MWD, the student can keep track of the tool face orientation and the hole direction together with the inclination. The student can stop drilling at any time to orient or to take a survey. At regular intervals the student will take a survey, the computer calculates the data and the student has to plot the result on the well plan, which the student will receive in an A0 format. The software will keep track of the drilling cost and the drilling time. Complications of pVAD insertion including examples of
infiltration, haematoma, extravasation and transfixation.
6 - VIP Score:
Understanding and using the Visual Infusion Phlebitis score.
7 - Equipment - overview:
We take a look at all essential equipment required for PIVC.
8 - PRACTICAL SESSIONS:
Multiple practical sessions throughout the session.
9 - Fluids:
The importance of understanding fluids. Includes detailed overview of: maintenance fluids, Hartmann’s solution, Colloids (and risks), blood products.
10 - Infusion Rates:
Calculating infusion rates and drops per minute.

Our Peripheral IV Cannulation Course and Injection Course training kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available for you to add at time of booking. Training kits mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video instructions, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for your one full day to complete your cannulation and injection course training.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your cannulation course and one for your injection course. Kits are included at no charge (normally £79.95 and £39.95 respectively) and are yours to keep and to continue to practice with after you have finished your courses. Frequently asked questions
What is your refund policy?
We can accept cancellations up until 48 hours before we begin. We regret, as we are a small CIC, that we cannot take cancellations via email but ask that you log into Eventbrite to cancel your ticket should it be necessary.
Do I need any special equipment?
No, you need something to take a photograph on, a valid email address and a strong internet connection so that we can communicate over zoom. You would benefit from downloading an app called www.padlet.com to your device but this is not essential. The extension project is entirely optional.
What happens after the week long project is finished?
You will be invited into a community project or if you live in North Yorkshire you might like to book a 1:1 session with me. Personalised sessions start at £49:99 per person.
Do I have to be a photographer?
Absolutely not, we assume no prior experience of photography.
Is this like therapy?
We are not therapists but the process has a gentle and calming effect upon your wellbeing. We will be engaging in simple tasks to encourage mindfulness. We do ask that you are well and happy to engage in a small group session online. We embody respect in our work and we ask that you do the same.
Will you be using my images?
We never share your images unless you specifically ask for us to. Your image and copyright remains your own.
Can I share your lesson content?
We are a community interest company called Mindful Photography UK CIC and all images, wording, content, intellectual property are trademarked and copyrighted by Mindful Photography UK 2024. We ask that you respect our livelihood and do not share our lessons and content.
