In this exciting, educational and intriguing full day sea glass course, you will be shown how to make your own solid silver jewellery pieces incorporating sea glass and take away your own unique pieces to wear and treasure or as gifts for loved ones.

The emphasis is on competence, fitness to practice and life-long learning. Underpinning this is that clinical specialists and experts take the lead in teaching and training to develop knowledge and skills. However, not everyone has the tools to teach knowing how to is the key to successful learning, this programme is designed to Train the Trainer.

In this lovely nature-filled full day course, you will be creating beautiful jewellery from the amazing combination of Mother Nature and silver clay. You will use various items of nature, such as leaves, seed heads, sea-shells, and make moulds and use different techniques with the silver clay. You will turn them into beautiful solid silver Jewellery that you will be able to wear home proudly. All materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own samples from nature to use but we will have plenty of pieces available.

Come and learn to make your own unique solid silver glass pendant and earrings using silver clay and a cabochon, which is a gem that has been polished but not faceted. Our instructor, Louise, is fully qualified as a senior tutor and holds an Art Clay Higher Diploma and has been teaching jewellery making for over ten years. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced jeweller, Louise is on hand to help you create your own cabochon design from silver clay. You'll be guided by Louise to help you make your own pieces for you to treasure and take away! Louise has a relaxed, informal approach with the aim of having fun as well as learning and creating lovely pieces of jewellery. Please come and experience the course yourself and add a new item to your jewellery collection!

We will come to your school at a time that suits you and run a 2-hour workshop for all staff. We will present in clear and simple terms the school’s duties under the Equality Act, help you guard against discrimination, and leave you with useful resources. The workshop will show how all protected characteristics covered by the Equality Act 2010 can be reflected positively in everyday school life. It will consider real-life examples and make this more meaningful and relevant by inviting participants to bring their own examples of equality challenges in school. We will show you how to get the best out of CSIE’s toolkit ‘Equality: Making It Happen’ – a succinct and user-friendly set of reference cards to help schools promote equality – and leave you with at least two complimentary copies. Above all, the workshop will help develop a shared understanding and build a consistent response to diversity and equality. We understand that all schools are at different stages of this journey, so this workshop will assist you in determining next steps and areas of specific focus for your setting. WHAT WILL THE WORKSHOP COVER?
