This course raises awareness of health and safety in the workplace relative to children’s home settings. It covers the legislation in place, hazard awareness and risk assessment and prevention of harm.
A Fire Warden plays an important pat of an organisations fire safety procedures. Organisations will usually appoint one or more people in each office, shift pattern or area to ensure coverage across the operational hours. A Fire Warden will work with the employer to ensure fire evacuation procedures are effective and will contribute to the fire prevention strategy. Learners will first cover the basics of fire safety legislation, fire classifications and theory of fire as well as their general fire safety responsibilities. Our course provides practical advice on fire prevention and action upon discovery of a fire, including an introduction to the use of fire extinguishers. In addition to the content covered in our Fire Safety Awareness course, this course includes additional content specific for people designated as a Fire Warden or Fire Marshall.
