Learn how to make really fun and creative bowls from rope and bits of scrap fabric. I will teach you all you need to know and I will supply all you need to get going. It is SO fun and SO versatile! You decide on the shape, size and colours! This is a very practical and hands on class which will see you making stuff in no time. All tools, use of machines and materials are included. The class will finish around 1pm

This course is stained glass mosaic on a mirror base and designed for garden display throughout the year. The aim of the course is to teach you the techniques and throughout the workshop build your confidence and knowledge to complete a stunning mosaic for you to take home.

Create a fabulous and unique free-standing serpentine wave form in fused glass; finished size is approximately 15cms tall by 38cms wide by 5cms deep. Jill Bagnall, designer-maker at Fusing Ideas Glass, will introduce you to kiln-forming and the skills required to create a beautiful & unique work of art that will look fabulous in your home. Everything you need is supplied; equipment and lovely coloured glass, plus guidance and advice to create your design; no previous experience is necessary. Learn the art of silk shading from home

A 3 class course covering everything to make a beautiful landscape painting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO Encourage nature into your garden by making your own bird box or bug hotel, all from recycled materials. Your design can be based entirely around what you’d like to attract to your garden, from birds to bees. You’ll finish with your own completely unique piece for the garden. Your hosts, Scott and Sue, will guide you through everything you need to know, from the tools to use to how to prep your recycled material. They'll be happy to help with ideas big or small and will have example designs to hand and lots of inspiration. You’ll be creating in Scott’s heated workshop, fully equipped with everything you need and with lots of space for building. At the end of your experience you’ll get to take home a bug house to be proud of, as well as leaving with the skills to create other upcycled pieces. FACILITIES *  WiFi *  Refreshments available *  Toilets *  Parking *  Child friendly (0-16) COVID-19 GUIDELINES As you arrive you’ll need to confirm that you’re in good health and your temperature will be taken. Please bring a face mask as you’ll need to wear one at certain points during your experience. Face shields will be optional to wear for the rest of your time in the workshop and these will be provided. All workspaces will be fully sanitised and there will regular hand washing throughout. ON THE DAY You don't need any previous woodwork experience, just some enthusiasm! Please wear old clothes (or something that you don’t mind getting damaged or torn) and sensible, closed toe footwear. Work boots are recommended. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day, but please bring along your own packed lunch. Course Location courses can be either in Glastonbury or at Scott's own workshop near the Bath and West show grounds (BA46QN) and will be confirmed.

We invite you to join us for a floral experience, creating a beautiful arrangement you can take home and learning a new skill. Our team of professionals will take you through basic mechanics, colour coordination, types of blooms.  To add to your experience we will have treats and a glass of sparkling wine or non-alcoholic cocktail. Spend your Friday night learning something new in our beautiful studio located in Angel.  You will leave with a gorgeous two-piece arrangement, two dinner candles and a sense of fulfilment. 

A relaxed and informal Blackwork Embroidery course in the lovely setting of a converted 18th Century cotton mill in Warwick Bridge, Carlisle. This course has been designed to guide the complete beginner or act as a refresher for those who may have dabbled in Blackwork embroidery in the past. We will cover the history, styles of Blackwork embroidery, threads and techniques.
