Bring your overlocker to class and I will teach you all you need to know about threading it, changing it from 3/4 thread and back, changing the needles, adjusting stitch length and differential feed etc. I only have one overlocker here and in any case it is definititely something you want to do on your own, so you will need to bring your machine to this class.

Learn to knit. Knitting for beginners learn the basics, cast on and off, knit and pearl, problem solving and following a pattern.

Create a stylish stay put scarf. Using chunky wool this scarf grows quickly and is suitable for those who have a little experience.

A super simple crochet project suitable for beginners - make a small heart bunting ready for your valentines or simply because you love your home!

A simple hot water bottle cosy filled to the brim with all the crochet basics, stitches and techniques for a beginner.

ABOUT THIS EVENT This workshop will aim to provide a simplified overview of the art of illustration and the tools and techniques it offers. It will take place over two mornings from 10..30 am to 12.30pm.. You will learn how to to express your own visual language and apply it to any given scene. The first morning workshop will include: Simplify your scene: how to draw with colour and block shape. Corners: how to use geometric shapes. The second morning workshop will include: Lines: curved and straight The big picture: merge and harmonise. All materials provided. Please bring an image which can be a sketch or photograph of the scene you would like to illustrate. At the end of the 2 mornings you will have a beautiful illustration and an awareness of how to turn any idea into an illustration.
