Emran Hoque Emran is a multidisciplined creative specialising in visual identities and creative design. He is trained in art, design, branding, and marketing, and has worked with public, private and non-profit organisations to tell their stories through distinctive, meaningful and emotive design. Our new strategy is to create a curated directory of design tools for kids - products, projects and programmes that get kids doing design and design thinking. 2021 We're rebooting! Looking for Reboot Supporters to fund 2021/2022 activity. We've learned a lot from our first remote after school Design Club. And partnered with Multiverse and Future to reach new audiences, online and IRL. 2020 We started the year with new after school clubs in Coventry, Haslemere and Woking, and exciting plans for weekend clubs, but we had to hit pause due to Covid. We experimented with online delivery and invited parents to run design projects at home. Bright spots: Elsewhen ran a remote club and we got a bit of funding from Grant for the Web (which enabled us to think about how to reboot Design Club. 2019 We supported mentors to run 15 after school clubs, including the first Design Clubs outside London, in Blackpool and Dundee. Reached 500 children and had more than 800 people register an interest in mentoring. Started hosting peer-led Meetups and recognised our Super Mentors. Won funding from The Funding Network. Every year as we approach the year end, I like to take stock of where we are and write a letter to clients. This is in part to thank you for your much valued business, but also to tell you how things are going here at e-clinic and let you know a little of what we have planned for the coming year. I hope you’ve all had a good 2015 and are looking forward to taking some time out over the festive period. The feedback we’re getting from clients is that the market in most sectors has improved this year and that whilst there is some way to go, things are certainly easier than they have been in the last few years. 2015 has been a good year for e-clinic, with healthy increases in both revenue and profit. Indeed, it’s fair to say that our company is in the strongest position it has ever been. I tell you this as hopefully it gives you reassurance that, having been around for a long time already, we intend to be around for a very long time to come, and that can only happen if our business is stable and profitable. Most of the increased revenue has, of course, gone back into improving the business, rather than into my guitar collection! Our team has almost doubled in size over the last year, which has enabled me to focus much more on development than in previous years. It has also enabled us to reduce support response times significantly. Our performance is independently monitored by ZenDesk and currently we sit in the world’s top 4% of software companies who use ZenDesk in terms of support team performance. I think this is something we can be very proud of and I know many of you have taken the time to comment on the quality of service you receive from Robin and his team. They have worked very hard this year and I am, as always, very much indebted to them. The development team has continued to work away behind the scenes on ideas for the next version of e-clinic. We recently completed the work on Healthcode integration for insurance invoicing, along with a full integration with Xero Accounts. Currently Dillip is looking at ways to better implement email marketing from within e-clinic, including the reporting of outcomes such as emails opened and clicked through directly within the patient record. Hannah is doing some very exciting stuff with web and Facebook and Joe is beavering away on some interface improvements to bring us more in line with current trends and to improve our mobile options. The growing sales and marketing team also continues to improve client communications and we have a number of plans in this regard for next year, particularly in terms of improving our web site for mobile users. I’ll be spending a little more time than usual at home with my family (and my guitars) over Christmas, but for those of you who have to work over the holidays, we will be providing support during business hours as we always do (more details lower down). I’d like to finish by thanking you all for your business over the past year. We are a youth and sports organisations who seek to improve the welfare and wellbeing of all children and young people through organised football/sport training and competitive games, education and social activities of all kinds.Clasford Stirling MBE was invited to establish a youth football team on the Broadwater Farm estate in Tottenham in 1979, which he duly did and called it Broadwater Farm United. Due to his personal commitment and consistency, two key ingredients for success, that first ‘team’ eventually turned into Broadwater Sports & Football Academy, which is still going but with a rebranding to it’s new name, London Elite Sports & Football Academy, which was founded and established by his son, Jude Stirling. As a youth and community advocacy organisation, it has been incredibly successful, supporting several generations of young people against all the odds, to reach their full potential. Clasfords example of care, discipline and clear mentorship as a strong role model, has attracted other skilled volunteer coaches and workers around him, who are also simply motivated to help young people and their parents to understand the transforming principles of great teamwork and cooperation. London Elite are now key providers within Haringey of youth provision projects that target those young people who are struggling against the adverse effects of poverty and low societal expectation, that can often lead young people into anti-social behaviours that are not good for either their own health and wellbeing, or those around them, especially parents who do not know how to overcome the powerful influences of peer pressure exerted upon their children. London Elite have established a model programme to address this vulnerability of young people, called ‘Off The Street, Less Heat’ aimed at providing a safe and secure ‘Drop-In’ place with a range of social and sport activities during late evening hours, in order to offer them alternative activities that are good for them and enhance their skills through training, education and mentoring. Equality has always been at the very heart of all that guides the way forward for Clasford and his team, with a vision of equal access to not only sport, but also education and all other facilities that are available to young people. London Elite, with the funding support of Nike, are now leaders in developing young women’s football, from the age of 10 and up, with our first team entry into a league, happening this season, which is very exciting for all concerned. London Elite exists and operates within a very diverse community and have the privilege of hosting and training children from many ethnic backgrounds, without discrimination, so all of their work is underpinned by the example and policies of the Football Association, especially in terms of promoting the anti-racist principles of their Respect agenda, which apply to not only the coaches, but to players, parents and spectators alike. London Elite’s vision for going forward, is to continue it’s good work and set a strong legacy plan for it’s continuation on into the future, laying the foundation of good strong ‘best practices’, so that anyone who joins the staff will know exactly what their role and aims are and how to achieve them in the best interests of the young people that they are supporting. There is also an idea to extend the vision to develop a one-stop shop for promoting job opportunities, interview training and entrepreneurial development. Partnerships are key to this future success and their collaborations with local schools, Nike, the London borough of Haringey, Spurs and many others, show just what can be achieved once the will and resources are put to good responsible use. London Elite is governed as a non-profit company limited by guarantee, meaning that there are no profits to be taken out of any funding or income that the management team receive, with any excess of income over costs, having to be ploughed straight back into the work of the team in helping young people. Continued long-term and stable funding is hard to come by now, especially with the financial hardships caused by the effects of the pandemic and so any help is much appreciated. Any classroom demo videos and introduction videos proffered to us by you during the internship or job booking procedure will also be stored indefinitely by us. Video calls may also be recorded for our own purposes but this will be mentioned prior to us commencing the video call. When payments are made through our website for any of the services or products offered by us, it may be necessary for the banks and card processing agencies to have access to this data. Your mail preferences will be stored by us including whether or not you wish to receive marketing from us about the products and services we offer and any discounts that may arise for specific time limited periods. What we do with your information Upon application for an internship the user information is kept by edcentric teaching and used in the following ways: Your personal details are used by us in order to apply for the services you book through us. For the most part your personal information will have to be sent to third parties in order for us to be able to offer the services stated by us on our website. Such third parties include but are not limited to local governing bodies in China, the PSB and the Chinese embassy or high commission. We will never profit from the sale of your personal information to other parties. CV's and all other documents related to the education/teaching/work background of our customers are sent onto our partnering schools so that they can look through all of our internship candidates. As all our partnering schools are based at the kindergarten level we strive to ensure high quality throughout but this does cut both ways. Whilst we strive to vet our partnering schools to ensure a high quality service to our budding TEFL'ers, so must we keep the interests of the schools and institutions we work with and the young learners that attend them front and centre by ensuring that we provide teachers with a strong moral compass and of sound mind. We may ask for classroom demos, personal introduction videos or maybe just live recordings of a video call. They are for the purpose of being sent to our partnering schools and kindergartens upon their request of them. We may also on occasion wish to share your demo video on our website or one of our social platforms as an example for all others to follow. edcentric teaching will not ask permission for this but should you notice your video is live and wish for it be taken down we will comply with your request. Your payment details are never stored by us and they are only ever used in such cases as the banks and card processing agencies needing to authenticate and authorise a purchase made through our website by you.
