If choosing to drink some of the cacao provided as part of your ticket, please make sure you are well hydrated before coming to the session, as cacao can be dehydrating (a little like tea and coffee). If you are on MAOI based antidepressants, cacao naturally contains tyramine, which is contraindicative of your medication. Cacao is not suitable for anyone with serious heart conditions, low blood pressure, or anyone on blood thinning or blood pressure lowering medication, as it is a vasodilator. It is also not suitable for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding. The cacao served during ceremonies is 20g per serving (based on one cup per person). The recommended daily dosage should not exceed 50g. The cacao will be made with 100% pure cacao, water and coconut milk. If you have any contraindications or allergies there will also be a variety of herbal teas available for your perusal.    Sound Therapy Contraindications The only absolute contraindication for Sound Therapy is if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy. Although there is no evidence that sound therapy would do any harm to an unborn child this is a standard requirement for insurance purposes across most holistic practices.   If you suffer with Epilepsy or seizures please let the host know in advance of the event. It is unlikely the sound frequencies used would trigger a seizure but by letting the host know we can ensure your needs are met. The Sound Bath itself is designed to encourage you into a deep state of relaxation that can produce imagery. With this in mind if you suffer with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety the Sound Bath could be triggering. If this is a concern please contact the host directly and we are happy to chat this through with you. It is very rare, but occasionally sound frequencies set unsympathetic resonance with metal implants in the body. There is no problem with this, but if you do have metal plates in your body please let the host know upon arrival so we can check in advance if your implant causes any pain or discomfort. If you require lifesaving medication please let the host know upon arrival so we can ensure your needs are met also.    Inclusivity Policy This event is for anyone 16 years+ unfortunately children under 16 are not permitted. This session is warmly open to all, irrespective of gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, culture or religious beliefs.
