<p>This and other IIL Learning in Minutes presentations qualify for PDUs. Some titles, such as Agile-related topics may qualify for other continuing education credits such as SEUs, or CEUs.</p>
<p>Each professional development activity yields one PDU for one hour spent engaged in the activity. Some limitations apply and can be found in the Ways to Earn PDUs section that discusses PDU activities and associated policies.</p>
<p>Fractions of PDUs may also be reported. The smallest increment of a PDU that can be reported is 0.25. This means that if you spent 15 minutes participating in a qualifying PDU activity, you may report 0.25 PDU. If you spend 30 minutes in a qualifying PDU activity, you may report 0.50 PDU.</p>

Details 
Using pre-recorded training, interactive on-line content (through Padlet), self-directed learning and live events, this substantial and comprehensive blended training course keeps delegates interested, engaged and learning new ways to bring excellence to their 24-hour postural care provision and focuses on the often neglected lying position and how unsupported lying drives changes to a person's body shape which impacts sitting, standing and functional movement. 
You will have access to the online learning from 4th Sept 2024 and be provided with all the information you will need to complete the course. At 1pm (BST) on 4th Sept you will then join the trainers for an introductory event via Zoom to provide an outline of the training and to answer any questions you may have. Over the next few weeks you can access the pre-recorded training videos and interactive online content to enable you to complete the workbook. On 16th October there will be a series of live discussion events for the specific ages the course covers to assess your learning (you must attend at least one of these events - please see below for further information). 
Why? 
People with complex needs, deserve a thorough, co-ordinated 24-hour postural care service. We only get one body and yet people with complex disabilities don't always get the 'annual service' afforded the equipment they use.
Posture Positive report (2020) found training is a key aspect to developing resilient and robust 24-hour postural care for people with complex needs. Every person with complex needs or limited movement requires a comprehensive 24-hour postural care service delivered in a personalised way.

The course is suitable for specialist physiotherapists, specialist occupational therapists and other highly trained healthcare professionals working in health, SEN and social care.

Each delegate selects the aspects of the course relevant to their particular area of practice whilst having access to all the course resources.

Eli Keren started his publishing career at Curtis Brown before joining United Agents as an assistant in 2016. In 2021 he became an associate literary agent, representing a growing list of clients across fiction and non-fiction, actively seeking books that are going to make a positive impact in the world in some way, big or small. His role as an agent at Curious Minds Literary Agency began in 2024. Before working in books, Eli was a research scientist designing and synthesising novel drugs (white coat and everything), and science books remain a particular passion of his. Daisy Chandley joined PFD in 2019 after graduating from the University of Oxford with a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. 1) Sharp, original novels on the literary to upmarket spectrum, all the way from deeply dark and boundary-pushing books like Hurricane Season, Under The Skin or In The Cut to those balancing edge, heart and humour, like Detransition, Baby or A Visit From The Goon Squad. She loves irreverent wit, daring approaches in narrative or form, and seriously unsettling stories in equal measure, and if you can bring a few of those elements into one, it’ll go straight to the top of her.
2) Com-heavy rom-coms, whether in the dry but ultimately sob-inducing vein of Greta and Valdin or a Nora Ephron film, the escapist screwball delight of a Cary Grant classic, or the more unusual, genre-bending style of something like Palm Springs. Daisy is a sucker for Emily Henry and will always be happy to see an innovative take on tropey love stories, but is equally very keen to see to things a bit outside of the box, whether that’s integrating speculative elements, dark humour, or topical issues. In any case, humour and originality are my priority, and affectionately snarky bickering is the best way to make her fall head over heels with a couple.
3) Sleuths! Daisy is not the right person for police procedurals, but loves classic detectives and amateur sleuths. Whether it’s a delightful Knives Out or Nancy Drew homage or an intricate, unputdownable mystery on the darker side, the minute someone finds a good old fashioned clue, count her in!
Overall, whether it’s a delightfully fun and scandalous page-turner or something really bold and experimental, if it’s stylish and smart – and maybe even a bit sexy – Daisy would love to see it.
Daisy is definitely interested in literary speculative fiction, though not generally looking for hard SFF. Across the board, she is always looking for stories that explore sexuality, race, gender, and disability, and would particularly love to hear from writers whose voices and experiences aren’t given enough space in publishing.
On the non-fiction side, Daisy is looking for bold new insights and underrepresented voices on popular science, nature writing, relationships, social issues and politics, and am always especially interested in fresh, playful and exciting writing on pop culture, love and the internet. What is The SHARE Project?

Through our four-week, live online workshop series, delivered via Zoom, you’ll discover practical tools to bring more calm and happiness into your daily life.
Here’s what you can expect:
Weekly Workshops:  Each week, we’ll introduce and practice a new tool designed to fit seamlessly into your life (just a few minutes a day, I promise!). These are not your typical “luxury spa day” suggestions — because let’s face it, who has time for that?  Instead, you’ll learn sustainable, go-to strategies that you can use anytime, anywhere, to boost your wellbeing, even in the midst of chaos.  You will also receive a mid-week email of encouragement between workshops and printables to help record and track your progress.
Ongoing Support:  In each session, we’ll review your progress, fine-tune your approach, and introduce the next tool.  This isn’t just a one-off workshop; it’s a journey of growth and connection.
Community Connection: You’ll be part of a supportive group of fellow SEN parents and carers who understand the unique challenges you face.  Together, we’ll share experiences, uplift each other, and grow stronger.
