Founded in 1931, the Yorkshire and Humberside Federation of Museums and Galleries was one of the first regional federations to be established. It is the only dedicated membership organisation for people working in or for the benefit of Museums and Galleries in the region. It exists to represent, support and develop its members through regular meetings, newsletters, training, consultation and lobbying. How We Work The Fed is a membership organisation run by you, for you! The Fed is administered by an Executive Committee made up from its membership, and elected by you, the members, at the AGM. The Executive Committee reports back to the membership via quarterly meetings, which are open to all. The Fed is only as active as its members. The Committee is open to all and we are very keen for members to express an interest in joining the Committee to keep a flow of new ideas coursing through the organisation! Rainbow Pole Fitness was set up in 2009 by Kirsty Marsden and Kirsty Griffiths. Both Girls are Fully Qualified Pole Fitness Instructors - http://www.xpertpolefitness.com Both girls attended the same pole class in Wakefield as well as training at home to improve their tricks. They have both been pole dancing for 4years and are now fully insured instructors. In February 2009 Kirsty G was asked to teach classes in Barnsley but unfortunately due to venue problems the classes had to stop. Both girls realised that this was their opportunity to start their own Pole Fitness classes, Rainbow Pole Fitness was born. The Girls started with only two poles and one class, they have now expanded to owning their own studio and have classes in both Barnsley and Huddersfield. Rainbow Pole fitness is the First Pole Fitness and Aerial arts studio in Barnsley. We teach through a progressive fitness route, building your stamina, flexibility, co-ordination and strength.

Inclusive Pedals CIC is a social enterprise based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Our four directors run a variety of projects helped by a team of volunteers. We're all keen to expand the range of bikes and promote the use of bicycles as every day transport. Amongst our group we have qualified bike mechanics, British Cycling coaches and experience of working with disabilities. Bikeability instructors from Wheely Fun Wheels help out with some of our sessions too. Our volunteers assist with delivering our community based projects such as adapted cycling, Cycling Without Age and the Community Cycle Club. Many of us are members of Chesterfield Cycle Campaign. Director Alastair Meikle was the winner of the national Modeshift award in 2017 'Individual Contribution to Sustainable Travel' and in 2019 delivered practical training workshops at the national Bikeability conference. However you engage with us you will find us friendly and adaptable to your needs.

In this youth obsessed society we have pushed aside the voices, creativity and sometimes knowledge of older people, we are here to buck this trend. Working with professionals to dispel negativity around ageing and dementia (which can affect people of any age) in our training workshops. Looking to see the value in older people, people living with dementia and your staff to make a lasting difference to practice, which is inclusive and creates supportive relationships. Here at Enrichment for the Elderly we believe in Creativity and what it can achieve. We enable and encourage creativity through bespoke workshops for seniors and people with dementia. These workshops can be anything from making shadow puppets and performing with them through to making drama from memories and everything in between. Reclaiming the word 'Elderly' to be something of an honour where people look up to you. Lets work together to unlock the creativity of the Elderly. What about the kids? We offer workshops where the whole school can be involved in learning about older people and people with dementia through creativity. We hope of a future where the older generation and people living with dementia can feel like an important and valued part of society with a voice.

We are the Open College of the Arts. An open access, distance learning provider of higher education courses based in Barnsley, UK. We were created by Michael Young in 1987, one of the founders of the Open University, to offer high quality arts courses as a means to transform lives, with the opportunity to develop and express creative talents under the guidance of experienced artists. An OCA qualification, be that a degree, Certificate or Diploma in Higher Education, or undergraduate credit, can be a huge achievement for many and opens the doors to new careers, or new lifestyles built around the arts. Over 2000 people study with us every year as part of a truly global community representing 67 nationalities worldwide on 13 degree programmes and one Masters. We reach people in every walk of life, with over 20% of our students having a declared disability, and many students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and with no qualifications. Our students come from every walk of life imaginable, fitting work, family, caring responsibilities and everything else alongside study and more besides. OCA’s community consists of students, practitioners and tutors working together, offering encouragement, creative criticism, hints, tips, insights and ideas. Inova has been running since 2001 and provides consultancy services, training and coaching programmes in the areas of entrepreneurship, employability, career development and wellbeing, with a focus on diversity and equal opportunities. We work with a wide target group for which we provide a variety of training and support programmes. Much of our work focuses on supporting those who are under-represented or who face challenges to fulfil their potential, and many of these are co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme. Our funded programmes have helped many of those who are most vulnerable, including migrants, NEET young people, older people and women who have been victims of violence, trafficking, homelessness or abuse, to name a few. We have worked extensively with entrepreneurs, artists and women in non-traditional fields such as Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths (STEM). Our director, Marina Larios, is president of WiTEC, the European Association of Women in SET. Our programmes use coaching and mentoring to support individuals to develop their ‘soft skills’, build confidence and self-efficacy and reflect on and achieve their goals. Our in-house trainers have over 50 years of experience between them and can provide one to one coaching, workshops and Enterprise/Career/Mentoring and Mindfulness Circles™. Our Circles are a series of products developed by Inova which combine mentoring, coaching and action learning to support individuals to reflect on and develop either a new or existing business, change or progress in their career or consider their personal life goals. Who we are Sheffield Young Carers (SYC) is a registered charity which has been running since 1997. What we do We offer support to children and young people aged 8-25 who live in Sheffield are young carers. Being a young carer means they provide care for one or more family members who have disabilities, long-term physical illnesses, and/or mental health difficulties. They may be providing physical, personal, financial and/or emotional care. We also offer support to children and young people aged 8-25 who live in Sheffield and are affected by drug and alcohol issues in their family (now or in the past). “ It’s nice - I’ve made some friends who are in the same situation as me. — SYC member We provide support through one-to-one work, group support, trips, holidays, and support with education, employment, and training. We can work with young carers’ families, with the aim of reducing the caring that the young person is taking on and improving life for the whole family. We also work with organisations across the city to make sure that additional support is available to young carers and young people affected by familial substance misuse. If you would like to refer a young person to our service, please talk to them about the services we provide. With their consent, you can then refer them to our service. Our Impact Report 2020-21 provides information about our charity and what we achieved in that period.
