Michael holds a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Bristol and a P.G.C.E. from the University of Cambridge. In addition he is a qualified first aid instructor. Michael has delivered science workshops to teachers in Africa and Asia. In his teaching posts he has upskilled pupils with first aid skills to prepare them for the unexpected emergency situation where they could make a difference. His life long passion is water polo. He represented the National Senior team before giving back to the sport with roles including National Team Manager and National Team Coach.
