Positive East has been at the forefront of HIV service and care for three decades; supporting people from point of HIV diagnosis to longer term care. Guided by our mission - to improve the quality of life of individuals and communities affected by HIV – we have developed a holistic range of health and wellbeing programmes from counselling to workshops to HIV testing and prevention. To achieve our mission, efficiently deliver our services, and to make a valuable contribution to London’s wider response to HIV care, we work towards three primary organisational goals: Provide a holistic range of services that enable people living with HIV to promote their health and well-being, support self-management, and to gain and sustain their independence. Maintain and increase work in building a safer sex culture, supporting people to stay HIV negative, reduce undiagnosed infection and reduce late diagnosis of HIV and the onward transmission of HIV. Influence policy development and service improvement that will enable us to further our mission.

Vector Equilibrium’s interactive programmes provide participants with simple and effective techniques allowing them to think clearly under pressure, take charge of life’s challenges and recharge their energy throughout the day.   Unlike most mental health, stress & resilience or communication & leadership courses that focus predominantly on awareness, our programmes take the learning of participants to the next level by providing science-based and scientifically validated self-regulation tools and techniques to reduce stress, improve health and wellbeing and enhance communication.   The tools and techniques we introduce enable individuals and teams to access deeper wisdom and intelligence, re-ignite their passion for excellence and growth, be more effective at problem solving, improve communication and increase personal and organisational coherence.   To ensure organisations and teams take the most from our training, workshops and coaching we recommend, where possible, that organisations take a ‘top down, bottom up’ approach. The Rose Education Foundation was set-up by Margaret and Maurice Dimmock following the tragic and sudden loss of their youngest daughter Emma. Emma was dedicated to uplifting and empowering, getting alongside young people and helping them to reach their full potential. This passion, shared by Margaret and Maurice, who have both been involved in youth-work and education for many years, led them to set up a charitable trust. The Rose Education Foundation continues to build on the example that Emma had set for many, by supporting the work of projects in the North-East of England and Thailand which build up and empower young people. Margaret and Maurice tell their story here, in their own words… Watch the ‘Our Story’ video Video Player 00:00 00:00 The story so far… had been a very happy one, for us, as a family, although we experienced the usual ups and downs of life nothing too devastating had happened. All of this changed in June 2007. For nearly 3 years, Emma our youngest daughter had been battling with a severe form of ME and although her life was very difficult and painful she was expected at some point in the future to make a full recovery. Sadly on June 17th of 2007 Emma died suddenly of a burst ulcer and acute peritonitis. Our world was shattered, our hearts broken and life would never be the same again. There are no words to adequately describe to you the pain or the extent of our loss as we travel a path we would never have chosen. It is only the continuing help and support of our family & friends combined with the outpouring of the love of God which sustains us on this journey. We cannot change what has happened but we can control our reactions and responses to this overwhelming tragedy. We are confident that Emma is now living in heaven and is happy and content and we feel that to honour the person she was whilst she lived here with us we must in some way work to bring some good from such sadness. Emma was a very caring person who above all else loved God, her family and friends and sought to help others wherever and whenever she could. Following her example and approach to life we have founded the Rose Education Foundation which seeks to improve, enrich and enhance the quality of life for children and young people both in the UK and abroad. At the foundation we believe that education is one of the keys which will help alleviate many of the problems facing children and young people of this and future generations. The need is different in each country and area but as Nelson Mandela is quoted as saying “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” and the Rose Education Foundation endeavours to prove this truth by demonstrating Love in Action.

No-one is broken In our world today, young people will be forced to address enormous global challenges and create a sustainable future. It is our shared societal duty to inspire, enable and encourage this generation to realise their full potential…as creative problem solvers and contributors to society - especially those struggling with disadvantages in life. Many are struggling with mental health challenges, difficult circumstances and a concerning future ahead. Many also experience painful and destructive behaviours, either towards themselves or towards others.

Our cohort of “Rock Your Roll”ers have proved there is an alternative to traditional onboarding that makes a practical difference when starting new jobs. All this has been made possible by the generosity of many people: The founder, Christopher Ross, who has worked tirelessly (unpaid) to keep Convoy rolling 70+ speakers who have generously given their time to speak at our Guest events A dedicated core of volunteers who take responsibility for introductions, the guest speaker program, and leading the “retros” The Members, without whom none of this works! There is no Community without people supporting each other: by showing up and listening, members of the Convoys get the hope, reassurance, inspiration and, above all, accountability they need to get the job done! The positive impact that helping others has on individual mental wellbeing is well known, and confirmed in numerous scientific studies. The same is observed in Convoy, and we intend to keep doing it!
