The Crochet Basics - Learn to Crochet Within a Week will teach you the basic crochet techniques and will make swatches of each to practice and build confidence in the skills. The course will cover basic pattern reading, pattern abbreviations and terminology and take a look at chart reading.
You will learn the stitches, tools and techniques you need to get started with crochet! Learn how to work in rows, keep your crochet on track and troubleshoot rows gone wrong. Then, learn three different ways to get started working in the round and become comfortable reading patterns! Finally, combine your new skills to create a charming granny square blanket you'll be proud to display or give.
The Crochet Basics - Learn to Crochet Within a Week is designed for beginners, no knowledge of crochet is necessary, and is in fact preferable if you are to make the most of the course structure.

From layout and shape to color placement and professional finishing, this 12-week course will guide you through every step with personalized assistance from expert crochet tutor, Merrian. You&#39;ll also be part of a small community of crochet students, all making the sweater together over the 12 weeks. Continued Access to Resources After the 12 weeks, you&#39;ll have lifetime access to all instructional videos and materials for continued learning or should you wish to make another sweater. Course materials are hosted on my Zenler site. Win Prizes If you complete your sweater within the 12 week timeframe, you&#39;ll also be in with a chance of winning a prize! Skill Level You must be able to crochet and have confidence in making the basic crochet stitches. The written instructions will also be available as downloadable PDFs.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">Additional support is provided every Wednesday evening at 7:30pm (except for 29th May*) there will be a live Q&amp;A call for 45 minutes. Materials are not included. How much yarn and what type of yarn you need will be discussed in the first module. 2. I teach in US crochet terminology. I do initially make references to British crochet terminology to help those that have only ever used British terminology. There is no need to be concerned about this since the stitches are the same they just have different "labels". You will quickly get used to US terminology if you have only previously used British terminology. Crochet is an international craft and to enjoy and take advantage of all the different designers and techniques &nbsp;from all around the world, you will need to get used to using US terminology and also get into the habit of checking whether a pattern is written in British or US terminology. 3. The live Q&amp;A sessions are exactly that - you ask me questions and I try to answer them as best as possible. They are not calls where I demonstrate techniques. There are extensive video tutorials for techniques.&nbsp;
