dan smith school of drums

Dan Smith has taught drums across the Midlands for over 12 years, and is now based in the Wirral after relocating. Dan has extensive drumming experience, having attained Grade 8 at the age of 17, completing a Master Performance Course at Drum Tech College in London, and touring with Rugby based band "Speak, Brother," performing on BBC Radio 2. He also co-wrote their 2018 full length debut album, "Young and Brave." Dan offers Graded instruction (RSL), having 100% pass rate, however lessons are tailored to student's interests, ability, learning style and personal goals. He teaches all ages, from 5-85. He has a great ability to make students feel relaxed, maximising enjoyment while focusing on musical development. He has experience teaching students with autism, anxiety, ADHD and various physical and learning difficulties.

I am Michala Morton. I am a fully qualified Specialist Teacher of Dyslexia who is passionate about unlocking the potential of individuals who have dyslexia. I work for the British Dyslexia Association and The Dyslexia Association assessing children and adults. I have worked in Special Needs for over 20 years across a wide range of educational settings. I also worked for a Local Education Authority for 14 years assessing and tutoring children with dyslexia. Activate is a registered Charity which was founded in 2005. We deliver personalised educational and vocational programmes for young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities in both Knowsley and Wirral. We have recently been added to the Section 41 Secretary of State approved providers list. Our services include: Study programmes for 19-24 year olds which focus on vocational skills/independent living skills and are funded through the Education Funding Agency If you would like more information about our programmes please see our Admissions section. Dorin Park is a specialist all-age school for children and young people with physical difficulties, complex moderate learning difficulties, complex medical needs and general complex needs. Children can be admitted to us at any stage but most of our entrants arrive in Reception or Year 7 and are usually transferring to us from mainstream early years settings or mainstream primary schools. Our learning experience is designed to meets the needs of our students by marrying excellent personal development opportunities with an appropriate life skills curriculum and a relevant academic curriculum. Developing communication is a priority throughout the school. All our students in Seniors are given a Flight Path for their future development which is reviewed regularly as they move through the school to ensure they achieve their potential in all areas.
