Pawsitive Play provides an indoor dog park in Glasgow that offers training, exercise and mental stimulation for dogs of all sizes. Giving your pets the daily exercise they need can be difficult due to work commitments or inclement weather, creating a vicious unhealthy cycle for you and your pet. That is why we supply a friendly and welcoming public space – warm in the winter and cool in the summer – whereby your dog can socialise with other dogs and make use of all kinds of specialised dog play equipment. Our goal is to make dog training and canine exercise a less stressful, more communal process in which dog owners and their pets can come together in a vibrant social hub.

We are devoted to offering yoga for all, from absolute beginners to experienced practitioners alike. We are a collective of passionate and knowledgable teachers, and each teacher operates their own booking systems. Central Scotland Dive Club (or C-Divers for short) is one of the country’s most active and friendly diving clubs, and we welcome divers over eighteen years of age from complete beginner to advanced levels. We are based in East Kilbride, but attract members from all over Central Scotland and we dive most weekends – all year round. Hi I'm Katie, the face behind Sealy MacWheely. I am a passionate spinner, knitter and lover of all things bright and colourful! Sealy MacWheely began with very humble beginnings and came into being initially whilst I was a student to raise money for the brilliant charity, Childreach International, with whom I trekked through the Andes of Peru in the summer of 2013. Once the trek to the summit of Machu Picchu was complete I simply couldn't let go of my wee business and after graduating and moving down to the outskirts of the wonderful city of Glasgow I refreshed and rebranded and began the daunting task of vending at local craft markets. It didn't take long for my business to outgrow itself and soon I was driving across the country to larger yarn and fibre festivals and events and with a little hesitation and a lot of excitement I eventually quit my regular job and took up Sealy MacWheely full time. This of course led me to my wee Yarn & Fibre Shop which would never have existed had it not been for the incredible support of our amazing yarn community. With the help of a successful Kickstarter campaign in the autumn of 2018 I was able to move into my beautiful wee shop in Kirkintilloch where I could focus all my creative energy into sharing my love of fluff and colour! I am also passionate about ecology and the environmental impact of my business has been factored into every decision I make. Both the shop and my home where I do my dyeing are powered by 100% renewable energy and I use absolutely no single use plastics in my branded products. I am proud to announce that Sealy MacWheely has recently teamed up with Ecologi, meaning that for every purchase made both in the shop and online a tree will be planted in an effort to combat the climate emergency that our planet currently faces. Although the Covid 19 pandemic has been a bumpy ride the shop has recently moved to a new premises with an in-situ dye studio and I have absolutely no intention of giving up! In fact I have so many exciting adventures lined up for the next year that I can't wait to share with you so keep your eyes peeled!

Our basic model works in two ways: Community classes for adults age 18 and up are run out of our Shawlands Language Nest, offered on a semester basis, in-person and online for a period of 10 weeks each time. These classes are bookable by individuals through our website here. The surplus revenue from these community classes cross-subsidise our work with older adults, including those living with dementia in care homes, community groups and day centres across Scotland. These care classes are only bookable in partnership with an organisation. If you are interested in this kind of class and are acting on behalf of your organisation, you can book a taster classes of this type here. The Language Nest A picture of students from our 2022 Summer Semester in the cosy Shawlands Language Nest! We run classes for adults of all ages in our very own Lingo Flamingo Language Nest, located in Shawlands, Glasgow, an area known for its vibrancy, diversity and strong sense of community. We still use the same sensory, stimulating techniques to make classes fun and accessible, but these classes are designed for those living without a dementia diagnosis from age 18 upwards. We also continue to emphasise the health benefits and show that language learning can be for everyone. All the money that is raised through the Language Nest gets put towards our work with older adults including those living with dementia. That’s to say, each and every penny of surplus revenue is used to cross-subsidise classes for older adults and those living with dementia across Scotland. As such, the Nest not only acts as a way to change perceptions of language learning, but as means to expand our social impact. It also means that any student joining our flock will not only gain from the benefits of language learning, but can feel good about having created a positive effect on society. Everyone’s a winner.
