It produces unique and playful results, making it ideal for anyone new to printing or art.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Cyan Clayworks is a non-profit artist-run studio, offering tuition in ceramics at all levels. This course will be run by both Fiona and Chris, held over 5 Tuesday evenings from 6 - 8.30pm. It is aimed at those who have been on a course previously (this could be a taster class or a longer course, either with us or elsewhere) and would like to build upon what they know already. Perhaps you would like to develop your wheelthrowing skills, or refine your handbuilding, scale your pieces up, learn about monoprinting, or have a particular project you'd like to focus on. It could be an opportunity to experiment in a new technique that you haven't tried before. Each week will include one or two different practical demonstrations, from throwing, coil building, slabbuilding and surface decoration using slips and glazes. These will focus on a more in depth approach than our beginners classes. Once we have an idea of what students want to explore we can include other demonstrations. We will work with each student to help you develop your ideas and enable you to focus on areas you are most interested in. With both of us teaching, and a strictly limited class size, there will be plenty of hands on support. All work is fired for you, and materials, firings etc are included.</p>

<p>We will learn about the patterns in nature through looking at different leaf shapes and using these to create monoprints.</p>
<p><strong>YOU WILL NEED</strong></p>

<li>laminated paper or plexiglass or plastic sheet (whichever you can get your hands on)</li>
<li>printing ink</li>
<li>printing roller</li>
<li>plain paper (plenty)</li>
<li>fresh collected leaves</li>

<p>We are going to use the online platform ZOOM. You can use ZOOM via your laptop, PC and MAC or you can download the app for your tablets and smart phones following this link:</p>

<p>The zoom link will be in the Additional Information of the ticket which will be emailed to you after booking (Check your junk!). If you do not recieve this, contact us and we will send you the link.</p>

<p>This workshop is run by ART IN THE PARK: Art in the Park aims to involve people of all ages and abilities in designing and making art work at their studios and outdoor sites. Located in the centre of Burgess Park in South East London and run by practising artists, Art in the Park works with schools, community groups and professional teams on tailor-made educational art and heritage projects and training days. AITP also works with the public in creating permanent public artworks.</p>
