In the workshop, Lou will share her techniques for creating detailed but simple circular pattern drawings.&nbsp;We&rsquo;ll begin with readymade circle templates to get you quickly started, but Lou will also share methods of creating and dividing circles using compasses so that you can go on to create any kind of mandalas you like, on any kind of surface. We&rsquo;ll work with fine liner pens, and Lou will also have options for colouring and decorating your mandalas with markers and watercolour.During the workshop, you&rsquo;ll develop your own collection of mandala patterns that you can use to build up intricate and complex designs that make every mandala unique. On this lino printing taster workshop with Edinburgh artist Suzanne Kemplay, you will explore quick ways of creating simple images of flowers or patterns.
Suzanne will provide pre-made templates&nbsp;to speed up the design process, so that you can quickly&nbsp;move on to practice&nbsp;printing, and to learning the different techniques you can use to produce striking images.
This is a hands-on, practical and fun workshop where you will learn the basic skills of lino cutting and printing, and gain the confidence you need to create beautiful prints at home without the need for expensive equipment.&nbsp;

Old slate can form the perfect base for a garden mosaic, hanging from the shed or balancing on a border. Bring new colour and interest into your garden with your very own bespoke design using vitreous glass, old china and sea washed glass!In this workshop you will use a reclaimed slate base to make a gorgeous mandala mosaic. You will be shown how to cut china and vitreous glass and you can also include sea washed glass and glass nuggets as part of your design. We will embed the tiles into an adhesive mortar mixture (an alternative method to gluing &amp; grouting). Create a pair of mini sea-washed glass and pottery plant-pot pictures on this relaxing, chilled workshop with Edinburgh maker Jacky Cox.
In our vision of a world where recycling, repurposing and up-cycling is the norm, there are objects at our finger tips which can be used to create miniature works of art.&nbsp;Jacky works with a variety of materials including glass, recycled crockery and natural materials like slate and sea glass, and the pieces she brings to this workshop have been collected on Scottish shores.&nbsp;On this relaxing, 3 hour workshop you will carefully select pieces for your pictures. Sea washed glass and pottery is very tactile, and part of your relaxation will come from taking care to feel each piece, selecting ones that feel and look in harmony.You will select colours to paint your backgrounds, and design your pictures for display in a deep set frame. In our vision of a world where recycling, repurposing and up-cycling is the norm, there are objects at our finger tips which can be used to create miniature works of art. 
Jacky works with a variety of materials including glass, recycled crockery and natural materials like slate and sea glass, and the pieces she brings to this workshop have been collected on Scottish shores. 
On this relaxing, 3 hour workshop you will carefully select pieces for your pictures. Sea washed glass and pottery is very tactile, and part of your relaxation will come from taking care to feel each piece, selecting ones that feel and look in harmony.
You will select colours to paint your backgrounds, and design your pictures for display in a deep set frame. Perhaps this workshop will inspire you to do your own beach combing, and take the time to create more lovely works of art at home?

Kate is a business owner, qualified coach, consultant, facilitator, trainer, podcaster and public speaker with a background in learning & development, employee engagement strategy, continuous improvement, communications and marketing. After 25 years working across the board in blue-chip, non-profit and civil service organisations she now provides support to businesses looking to evolve and become great places for people to work in and with. 
Having worked with a wide variety of clients from school-age students to senior executives, she has been designing and running workshops, seminars and classes in person or via web events since she left long commutes and corporate roles behind in 2014 when she created her first two businesses. Her passion is in improving working relationships between roles and functions, supporting people to discover how to be their best selves at work. She does this in the auto-motive industry, financial services, medical teams, charities, global media, retail, education systems and the arts.

What is The SHARE Project?
The SHARE Project is built on a simple principle: you need to put your own oxygen mask on first!  By nurturing yourself, you’re better equipped to support your children. Through our four-week, live online workshop series, delivered via Zoom, you’ll discover practical tools to bring more calm and happiness into your daily life.
Here’s what you can expect:
Weekly Workshops:  Each week, we’ll introduce and practice a new tool designed to fit seamlessly into your life (just a few minutes a day, I promise!). These are not your typical “luxury spa day” suggestions — because let’s face it, who has time for that?  Instead, you’ll learn sustainable, go-to strategies that you can use anytime, anywhere, to boost your wellbeing, even in the midst of chaos.  You will also receive a mid-week email of encouragement between workshops and printables to help record and track your progress.
Ongoing Support:  In each session, we’ll review your progress, fine-tune your approach, and introduce the next tool.  This isn’t just a one-off workshop; it’s a journey of growth and connection.
Community Connection: You’ll be part of a supportive group of fellow SEN parents and carers who understand the unique challenges you face.  Together, we’ll share experiences, uplift each other, and grow stronger.

Anika received a Fine Art MA (distinction) with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Kingston University in 2010.
