Hello! I am Samantha Dholakia, the founder of SPD Tuition and Coaching and creator of The Behaviour Balance System© (TBBS) and The Behaviour Bank© (TBB). I am an Executive Coach and mentor, Neurolinguistic Programmer and Consultant Trainer. With over 15 years experience in the education sector, I have worked in multiple managerial and leadership roles, including deputy head, RMT consultant trainer, educational consultant and accredited CPD creation for companies such as Twinkle and TTS. I am the host of @spdtuitionandcoaching which supports thousands of parents and teachers daily with behaviour strategies and wellbeing support, and in 2020 I set up our SPD children’s Confidence and Communications Coaching Programme, of which I could not be prouder. Not only have we had great results in the social, emotional and behaviour impact, but also academic achievement. Some of the children in our programmes make over 1 year’s academic progress in less than 12 weeks. It was in fact the children that encouraged me to support with the adults around them, and I am so pleased that I listened to their wise words. The Behaviour Balance System I created TBBS in 2021 to support the desperate need for an alternative approach to behaviour, providing strategies that not only create sustainable change but aid wellbeing, support good mental health, build confidence and resilience - and also accelerates academic achievement. With every technique and tool backed by the neuroscience behind behaviour, our TBBS strategies not only make sense, they WORK. We now support schools, nurseries, universities, Local Authorities, charities and a whole host of other providers globally through our training, workshops and 360 online portal, TBB. Underpinned by three elements, physiology, belief and communication, TBBS is an alternative approach to traditional behaviour systems. An inclusive, revolutionary behaviour programme that supports behaviour through working with children’s needs not outcomes, it is a research led approach that removes external rewards and punitive punishments whilst prioritising emotional intelligence and literacy to empowerment through independence and intrinsic motivation. Our mission is to equip educators, providers and parents with strategies THAT WORK. TBBS removes the behaviour firefighting and power struggles, through promoting a healthy and collaborative culture in homes, classrooms and various other environments. Within TBBS we have brought together several core pedagogies, including trauma informed approaches, restorative practice, emotional regulation and many more. TBBS focuses on teaching children about their brains and how to use them most effectively. Through TBBS educators, providers, parents and carers can empower children in regulating their emotions more independently. The Behaviour Bank TBB is THE ONLY 360 online platform, in the world, that bridges home and school with a collective approach. This platform allows us to support parents, educators and providers that may not feel confident in reaching out directly. It allows provides a platform for ongoing support through a variety of delivery methods. TBB takes our members on a personalised journey full of downloadable handbooks, resources, short courses, live workshops and bitesize clips. We, Ruth’s family, are left devastated by the sudden loss of a lovely mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, sister-in-law and friend. She leaves a huge, aching gap in all our lives and, we know, in the lives of so many others who were lucky enough to know her. We are grateful to all our friends for their thoughts and support now and in the difficult years ahead. Ruth will be remembered as the kind, funny, confident, vivacious, caring person she was and for all that she achieved in life. We also ask those who did not know Ruth please to respect our privacy, as we come to terms with our unfathomable grief, and to consider carefully how their words and actions might impact on others. As the many tributes to her from the broader school and Caversham community attest, Ruth cared deeply not just about academic results, but also about the general well-being and happiness of the pupils and staff whom she taught and led. Caversham Primary was a very happy school under Ruth’s leadership and, despite the many challenges that always go with the role of Head, she was happy there too. Ruth was a dedicated headteacher and an excellent teacher. She loved the pupils and the staff of Caversham Primary School and was very proud to have been its Head Teacher for 12 years and previously Deputy Head Teacher for four years. Ruth was a force for good in her life, and we want her to be a force for positive change after her death too. We would urge anyone who has been affected by her death to talk about their feelings and know that help is available. Hi, I’m Angharad and I live in Hull with my husband Paul, our two boys Caden and Colby and dog Phoebe. Since having my sons, I longed for a career change that gave me more time with my family. With being in the hairdressing industry for 19 years I knew what I enjoyed most was working with people. After much research I found Tots Play. Not only had I found a class that appealed to me as a mother with all the variety it offered, but also made me excited at the thought of being able to help parents or carers develop their connection to their child with all the benefits baby massage, yoga, signing, music, movement and sensory play provides. I will also make sure you take away lots of fantastic ideas to carry on the fun times at home. Having my youngest in the first lockdown has shown me how important baby and toddler classes are, not just for little ones but for helping parents bond with their child, as well as building invaluable supportive relationships with others in the same situation. Being a parent can be incredibly challenging and lonely sometimes so finding a class where you can share stories, laugh about the adorable or cringy moments and feel part of a community is irreplaceable. After the purchase of a 1958 Pontiac hearse for $250, Enterprise Rescue Squad answered its first call in 1963. Seven members of the community trained in American Red Cross First Aid volunteered to staff the fledgling service which was headquartered on Main Street by Glover Avenue. Over time the service grew and acquired new ambulances and better equipment. In 1981 Dr. Andy Kirk put together the Service’s first structured Emergency Medical curriculum and “attendants” became EMT’s providing much better care for the community. As our ranks grew, we began to see the need for a new facility. In 1994 after much fund raising and hard work, Enterprise Rescue moved to our current location at 205 W. Lee Street. Our station includes a dayroom, kitchen, communications room, sleeping quarters, and a bay that houses 4 ambulances and a service lift. As the City of Enterprise grew and the demand for Emergency Medical Services increased, it became obvious that the change from volunteer to paid service was neccesary. In 1997 Enterprise Rescue Squad became Enterprise Rescue, Inc. Now with almost 20 years as a paid system, Enterprise Rescue has over 40 employees and 7 ambulances. We currently average over 11000 calls a year and operate three 24/7 ambulances and one day ambulance in Enterprise as well as one 24/7 ambulance and one day ambulance in Elba. With the addition of a separate administration and training building at 519 E. Lee Street, Enterprise Rescue has become a regional training facility for various programs and agencies. We hold over 100 classes a year ranging from basic first aid and CPR to critical care and specialty courses for advanced medical providers. Enterprise Rescue strives to provide the very best medical care for our coverage area. We are constantly finding ways to improve the quality of our services. From the newest state-of-the-art medical equipment and vehicles to ongoing training in the latest developments in emergency medicine, we will continue to serve our community with professionalism and pride.
