Carbonate sequences are developed under the control not only of physical but also biological parameters and results in a variety of geometries that vary greatly in 3D. These intervals are also strongly affected by shallow to deep burial diagenetic process that modify the reservoir properties of the different facies and impact on the geometries and distribution of reservoir facies. Finally carbonate sequences are also often affected by fault and fracturing that strongly control the circulation of fluids within these sequences. Seismic can be often an excellent tool to map the different depositional settings and to understand the distribution, vertical and lateral variability of good reservoir intervals.<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">This course introduces to the complexity associated to carbonate sequences and the best way to characterize them using 2D and 3D seismic. Several case studies from around the world will be also shown. In each module various examples from around the world and from different tectonic settings and different carbonate depositional settings will be shown. <p>The industry is surrounded with examples of poor Turnarounds, which have injured people and damaged businesses. If Turnarounds are not properly planned, managed and controlled, companies run the risks of serious safety and budget penalties, costly schedule delays and negative impacts on customers. As a consequence, operators are starting to explore Turnaround best practices and establish a more robust methodology.</p>
<p>Turnarounds are the highest risk activity that we routinely perform in the industry, but they are also an area of massive variability in approach and outcome. Central to the variability is a lack of written methodologies and training - there are around 1,000 times as many books on maintenance as there are on turnaround management. All too often companies see Turnarounds as something to be survived and therefore it is no surprise that most Turnarounds fail.</p>
<p>This 4 full-day course is based upon the Carcharodon 'Best of the Best' model of excellence for shutdown management with inputs from people who have done it from the trenches along with some of the world's most experienced shutdown specialists. All this experience has been condensed into a core methodology - our blueprint for success. It converts Turnarounds from a high-risk nuisance to a business opportunity. It has been used on multiple sites around the world, has been the basis of two books and is also supplemented by a roadmap for building and controlling a successful Turnaround.</p>

<p><span>Your expert course leader is a professional engineer with extensive experience in power system studies, substation design field-testing, and EHS programs settings for Mining and Electrical Utilities sectors. He was formally the Engineering Manager at GE Canada in Ontario. He received his M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the University of New Brunswick and his MBA from Laurier School of Business in Waterloo.</span> <span>He has managed and executed more than 150 engineering projects on substation design EMF audits and power system studies and analyses, EMF audits and grounding audits, for major electrical utilities, mines, oil and gas, data centers, industrial and commercial facilities in Canada and the U.S. He is a certified professional engineer in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta.</span></p>
<p><span>He has various IEEE publications, has served as a technical reviewer for many IEEE journals in power systems and control systems, and is the chair of the Industry Application Chapter (IAS) for IEEE Toronto Section. He remains a very active member for the IEEE substation committee of IEEE Std. 81 ground testing (WGE6) and IEEE Std. 80 ground design (WGD7). <p>More energy companies today are setting ambitious net-zero targets and are expected to pour billions into the voluntary carbon offset market by the end of this decade. To get to net zero emissions, companies will need to balance emissions with nature and technology-based offsets. Markets are the best tool for connecting carbon sources and sinks. Many countries will not have enough supply inside their borders and will need to co-operate with those who have extra greenhouse gas removal potential.</p>
<p>The energy industry is in search of effective climate tools as pressure mounts from investors and consumers for more progress on fighting rising emissions. Corporations fighting to cut their carbon footprint have for years focused on internal reduction measures. Many are now adding to that effort by turning to carbon credits, a process made easier as verification and registration tools mature.</p>
<p>One particular category of carbon offsets leads the way: high-quality, nature-based carbon credits. These represent the largest category of carbon credit projects in the voluntary carbon market, comprising nearly half of credits issued. Public concern about this practice focused on the additionality, leakage, and integrity of carbon offsets that are created through reforestation, land preservation, carbon capture and other projects.</p>

He has a strong expertise in all the aspects of (energy) commodity markets, international sales, marketing of services, derivatives trading, staff training and risk management within dynamic and high-pressure environments.</p>
<p>He received a Master's degree in Law from the University of Utrecht in 1987. He started his career at the NLKKAS, the Clearing House of the Commodity Futures Exchange in Amsterdam. After working for the NLKKAS for five years, he was appointed as Member of the Management Board of the Agricultural Futures Exchange (ATA) in Amsterdam at the age of 31. While working for the Clearing House and exchange, he became an expert in all the aspects of trading and risk management of commodities. In 1997, he founded his own specialist-consulting firm that provides strategic advice about (energy) commodity markets, trading and risk management.</p>
<p>He has advised government agencies such as the European Commission, investment banks, major utilities and commodity trading companies and various energy exchanges and market places in Europe, CEE countries, North America and Asia. 4 - IR Vein Detector:
Demonstration of the IR vein detector for assisting in detection of difficult veins.
5 - Veins in back of hand:
Detecting suitable veins in the back of the hand.
6 - POC testing:
Point of Care Testing - use of glucose meter to demonstrate a typical POC test procedure. Correct use and overview of other POC test devices.
7 - Using lancets (finger collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for POC testing and whole blood micro-collection.
8 - Using lancets (heel collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for neonatal blood spot tests (Guthrie Test).
9 - Capillary collection
Using glass capillary tubes for micro-collection. Correct use and handling.
10 - Microtube collection
Correct use of BD Microtainers (and similar micro-collection bottles) - collection and handling.

No, you need something to take a photograph on, a valid email address and a strong internet connection so that we can communicate over zoom. You would benefit from downloading an app called www.padlet.com to your device but this is not essential. The extension project is entirely optional.
What happens after the week long project is finished?
You will be invited into a community project or if you live in North Yorkshire you might like to book a 1:1 session with me. Personalised sessions start at £49:99 per person.
Do I have to be a photographer?
Absolutely not, we assume no prior experience of photography.
Is this like therapy?
We are not therapists but the process has a gentle and calming effect upon your wellbeing. We will be engaging in simple tasks to encourage mindfulness. We do ask that you are well and happy to engage in a small group session online. We embody respect in our work and we ask that you do the same.
Will you be using my images?
We never share your images unless you specifically ask for us to. Your image and copyright remains your own.

<p id="isPasted" fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Are you a stressed, exhausted SEN/EBSA parent or carer, running on empty, with no time to shout <em fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">"HELP!"&nbsp;</em>let alone step off the hamster wheel to rest, recharge and recuperate?</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Parenting neurodivergent and/or school avoidant young people comes with a unique set of challenges and, if you&#39;re finding yourself lurching from managing meltdowns to fighting for support or feeling isolated and judged because people don&#39;t understand, it can be really hard and I GET IT!</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">After finding myself pretty much burnt out I discovered and implemented quick and simple self-help and relaxation tools that have helped strengthen my coping skills to navigate my family&#39;s journey, rebuild my resilience and rediscover&nbsp;my old self!&nbsp;</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">I was so blown away by how beneficial simple habits can be that it&#39;s my mission to help others do the same - and so I created&nbsp;The SHARE Project.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">The ethos of THE SHARE Project is that&nbsp;we need to put our own oxygen mask on first&nbsp;so that we can&nbsp;best support our kids&nbsp;and my aim is that the tools you will learn during our time together will become your oxygen mask, not only for use in case of emergency, but as a sustainable part of your ongoing&nbsp;self-care and wellbeing.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">During each&nbsp;of four, weekly, live&nbsp;online workshops, delivered over Zoom, you will learn and practise a new tool to implement daily over the coming week (just a&nbsp;few minutes at a time, I promise)!</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Then, during the following week&#39;s workshop we will review your progress, make any tweaks and learn and practise the next tool...&nbsp;</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">There&#39;ll be no suggestions of long and luxurious spa days and fluffy robes because most of us don&#39;t have the time to do that very often and, frankly, the benefits disappear almost as soon as you&#39;ve driven home... After being on the brink of burnout myself, I stumbled upon simple, yet life-changing self-help and relaxation tools. These quick, effective techniques helped me rebuild my resilience, reclaim my sense of self and navigate challenges with renewed strength. The transformation was so profound that I knew I had to share it with others—and that’s how The SHARE Project was born.
What is The SHARE Project?
The SHARE Project is built on a simple principle: you need to put your own oxygen mask on first!  By nurturing yourself, you’re better equipped to support your children. Through our four-week, live online workshop series, delivered via Zoom, you’ll discover practical tools to bring more calm and happiness into your daily life.
Here’s what you can expect:
Weekly Workshops:  Each week, we’ll introduce and practice a new tool designed to fit seamlessly into your life (just a few minutes a day, I promise!). These are not your typical “luxury spa day” suggestions — because let’s face it, who has time for that?  Instead, you’ll learn sustainable, go-to strategies that you can use anytime, anywhere, to boost your wellbeing, even in the midst of chaos.  You will also receive a mid-week email of encouragement between workshops and printables to help record and track your progress.
Ongoing Support:  In each session, we’ll review your progress, fine-tune your approach, and introduce the next tool.  This isn’t just a one-off workshop; it’s a journey of growth and connection.
Community Connection: You’ll be part of a supportive group of fellow SEN parents and carers who understand the unique challenges you face.  Together, we’ll share experiences, uplift each other, and grow stronger.
