Endfield Farm pottery is peaceful Artist owned studio, offering pottery and ceramic art classes on our farm in the Cheshire countryside. We have a range of pottery classes and ceramic art workshops, for beginners to experienced. We are close to the pretty village of Lymm and the market towns of Warrington, Knutsford and Altrincham. Only 14 miles from Manchester centre.

The NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Curtain Wall is appropriate for individuals aged 16 and over working in the construction sector who specialise in the installation if Curtain Wall and Aluminium Architectural Glazing Systems and are looking to become eligible for the Blue CSCS Card. The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence of individuals who specialise in this area and upon completion of the qualification, you will be awarded the NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Curtain Wall CSCS Cards Candidates can undertake the CSCS test and obtain the red (Provisional) CSCS card on signing up for this qualification. The red CSCS card can usually be obtained within 7 to 14 days and can be used to access the construction sites for a period of 12 months. In order for candidates to obtain their CSCS Card for Curtain Wall Installation they must also fulfil the requirements for technical knowledge as set out by the Council for Aluminium in Building and are generally required to complete CAB 1 day Curtain Wall essential knowledge training course. A full day pottery experience in our studio in Golborne, nr Warrington, Cheshire. This pottery workshop is suitable for complete beginners. With easy motorway access and only 20 miles from Manchester and Liverpool.

Outline: This course is intended to provide an introduction to the different kinds of cladding and glazing systems used on modern buildings, including curtain walling and built-up walls (rainscreen and render systems).  It will introduce key performance criteria, specification and verification of façade systems, in addition to discussing the supply chain and construction.  It will identify key British, European and CWCT standards and guides relevant to those systems. Target Audience: This course is aimed at those who are new to the design and performance of the building envelope, those who require a refresher course, or those wishing to broaden their knowledge on the type of modern cladding and glazing systems that are commonly used. Learning objectives: * Understand the fundamental principles of weathertightness, * Recognise key modern cladding and glazing systems, * Understand key performance criteria and how walls are specified, * Appreciate how performance is verified, * Appreciate industry structure and the cladding supply chain. Assessment: * Assessment will be via a series of multiple-choice questions following the course, * The assessment is timed and must be passed in order to receive a CPD certificate for the course, * If the assessment is failed, one re-take will be permitted.
