Course Introduction Our Venepuncture and Phlebotomy training equips delegates with the skills and knowledge needed to take blood safely. Please note: this course is for health care professionals and nurses only. ABOUT THIS EVENT Applicable to Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Phlebotomists in primary care, the community, hospitals or nursing homes, this course is interactive and involves a demonstration session on performing blood tests. Our venepuncture training will give delegates the theoretical and practical awareness to undertake a competence assessment framework in the workplace that will deem them competent to take blood safely and appropriately. Each delegate will receive a competence-based framework to allow them to do this. Course Introduction Our wound care training course comprehensively covers the various types of wounds, how they occur and how to manage them ABOUT THIS EVENT In this Wound Management course, you will learn about wounds and how they occur, how to manage them and the different types of wounds. We will cover leg ulcers and compression bandaging. You will leave with the knowledge and confidence to complete a competency-based framework document to be used in practice. You need to identify a mentor who will supervise your practice. In order to gain your certificate, you will need to complete the competence-based framework. This training covers how to perform this procedure in a variety of settings, including general practice, community care, emergency, residential care and pharmacy.
