This qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid to children (including babies) when dealing with: * An emergency situation. * Chronic or sudden paediatric illness. * Paediatric injury. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pre-requisites Students must be at least 16 years old on the first day of training. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Assessment and Certifications Assessment of this course is continuous and also includes 2 theory/multiple choice question papers. Successful students will receive an Immerse Training Certificate, which is valid for three years. The one-day Emergency First Aid at Work qualification will teach you how to deal with emergency situations, administer general first aid treatment and is designed for people who wish to be appointed as a designated first aider in the workplace. The course is ideal for those that are required to hold a first aid qualification but don’t require the more comprehensive First Aid at Work qualification, and covers all the main workplace first aid situations you may need to deal with, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, bleeding and wounds, along with other minor injuries.
The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those wishing to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Throughout this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including administering CPR, using a defibrillator, dealing with wounds and bleeding, minor injuries and more.
