Emergency First Aid at Work: Our First Aid at Work Course is designed for all employees and provides expert audio visual tutorials, easy-to-follow modules, and practical guidance for low-risk work settings such as offices, restaurants, and shops. Key topics include first aid boxes, the recovery position, administering CPR, and treating secondary illnesses like asthma and allergies. Having a basic understanding of first aid is a crucial skill, whether at work or at home. It could mean the difference between life and death, so it’s never too late to learn. This course introduces the legal framework surrounding first aid and teaches essential techniques, from managing life-threatening emergencies to conducting a head-to-toe check on injured individuals. You will learn how to conduct CPR, treat fractures, dislocations, and breathing issues, and understand when to call for emergency help. Upon completing the First Aid at Work Training Course, you'll receive a CPD-accredited certificate, giving you the confidence and skills to implement effective first-aid measures in your workplace.

What is Emergency First Aid? Well it’s exactly that, the first aid to be offered if an incident occurs. Not many of us are confronted with scenes of blood and gore in our everyday lives – so usually first aid could be as simple as sticking a plaster on a small cut. But what if you did find yourself confronted with a more serious situation. This Emergency aid course will highlight some of the most common situations that you might come across and the actions that you can take to help. In the most serious situations a first aider's role will be to assess the scene so that accurate information can be passed to Emergency services and then to act appropriately to try and increase the patients odds of survival.

The Emergency Fist Aid at Work is an accredited 1 day, instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. We use a mixture of training methods such as hands on activities, role play, group discussion, games and the use of equipment / technology to cover the different learning styles of the individual. All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. A range of subjects are covered including:- • Responsibilities and reporting • Resuscitation and AED awareness • Burns • Assessment of the situation • Anatomy • Choking • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Minor injuries • Epilepsy • Basic hygiene in First Aid • Bleeding control • Shock Certification Practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor, and a three year qualification will be issued to those who satisfy the criteria. In addition, the HSE strongly recommend that all students undergo an annual refresher programme of three hours. Instructions Please can learners ensure they wear trousers and a full shoe. Learners need to be physically fit and well to undertake the activities for First Aid Training, which requires learners to carryout CPR on the floor. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing adequate first aid training Typically, first aiders will hold a valid certificate in either First Aid at Work (FAW) or Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) This course leads to a new QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) certificate and is the one recommended for first aiders in a higher risk workplace As this is a Regulated Qualification, employers can book this course for their employees in the safe knowledge that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks Accredited, Ofqual regulated qualification: Our First Aid at Work Requalifying course leads to a nationally recognised, Ofqual regulated qualification accredited by Qualsafe Awards.This means that you can be rest assured that your First Aid at Work Certificate fulfils the legal requirements and is a very good way to make sure you and your employees are trained in First Aid, having the ability to save lives should the situation occur.The Ofqual Register number for this course is 603/2384/X

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing adequate first aid equipment and approved first aid training to the appointed first aider.
