 Ishin Ryu Ju Jitsu (jiujitsu) currently has in excess of 2,000 students, both Infants (4 – 7 years) Juniors (8 – 12 years) Teenagers (13 – 15 years) and Adults (16 – 80 years) training regularly in separate classes throughout its clubs in England. Kevin is also an established author and was invited to write two books, now in several languages, on the subject of Ju Jitsu (jiujitsu) by the publishing giants, Barnes & Nobel, Alan Clark Books, Connections and Edison Sadd, along with a 32 page section for the internationally-acclaimed “The Ultimate Book of Martial Arts”, which has gone on to being one of the best-selling martial books of all time, and printed in several languages. Since the early 90’s, Kevin has received invitations to teach his no-nonsense style of Jiu Jitsu from around the globe, attracting international attention from many of the world’s leading close protection agencies and military Special Forces. Kevin has served with the Royal Marine Reserve (City of London), the Royal Military Police (253 Pro Coy) and as a dog handler in The Parks Police completing his service at the rank of Sergeant. Kevin also worked for six years as a professional close protection officer, having been personally invited to join an elite team drawn from Britain’s Special Forces, being primarily responsible for the personal security of the Dubai Royal family. In November 1997, Kevin moved to Norfolk and established the Ishin Ryu Ju Jitsu (jiujitsu) headquarters in the picturesque village of Caston, where he personally teaches twice a week in the evening aside of his professional duties as the founder and chief instructor. In 2001 Kevin was inducted in to Combat Magazine’s Black Belt Hall of Fame held at the Aston Villa Conference Centre in Birmingham , and in 2003 was invited back to receive a “Guardian of the Martial Arts” award. In 2011 Kevin was once again invited back to the Combat Hall of Fame awards held at the Aston Villa Conference Centre in Birmingham where he was officially honoured and recognised for his service to the world of Martial Arts with a “Lifetime Achievement Award”… In November 2013 Kevin was invited to the “Martial Arts Illustrated” Hall of Fame awards where he was presented with a “Lifetime Achievement Award”…

Having grown up in Norfolk, I am inspired by the great British countryside and coastline. My paintings show my love of painting, colour, creating surface pattern texture and playing with compositions. I mostly paint in oils but also love to combine medias. My range of contemporary botanical prints are a real contrast to my oil paintings. But they also show my absolute passion for nature and love of colour and pattern, thanks to my textiles design background.. You are welcome to visit me in Studio 9, which is set in beautiful Oaks Park, opposite Mayfield lavender fields in North Surrey. I am there for a few hours most days and can often be seen painting outside my studio with my dog Tilly by my side. It is at my studio that I run my children’s art parties and various art classes and workshops. Formerly a part-time resident, she moved here full-time recently and hopes that her 30-year background in Finance, including Cash Management and Financial Analysis, brings helpful skills to the Treasurer position. Secretary: Lynn Buck - Lynn is a pastel artist and former resident of CT. She became interested in pastels 20 years ago and trained under a local artist. She works mostly in pastel, but also in watercolor and acrylics. She lives in Carolina Shores with her husband, dog and cat. Fitology Hub began in 2016, training one client at 5am on Hilly Fields. As word spread, more and more women signed up and the positive feedback we got made us realise we had something really special to give. So we decided to trade in our freezing cold mornings for something more permanent. While we were researching where to set up shop, we couldn’t believe that there was nothing of the kind already in Brockley, considering the wealth of businesses providing most of the crucial things needed in life - such as good coffee! We consider having an amazing training space as just as important as that. Unit 5 of the Brockley Cross Business Centre was Fitology Hub’s first home, big enough (just) for one client, Suzanne and our dog Bosco, a tiny puppy at the time. In less than a year, it was clear that we needed a bigger space as new members walked through our doors wanting to explore strength training. Unit 43 is the well-loved, warm space that we landed in. Today, we are proud to be a local business that works with women of all ages and from all walks of life. We offer something more personalised than a gym so that our members can access strength and fitness training, from female coaches who understand the barriers to exercising, as well as the benefits. We believe that by changing the way women experience ‘the gym’, we can help make an impact, not only on our member's lives, but also on the world of fitness. Our dream is that Fitology Hub continues to inspire more people to improve their health, well-being, confidence and of course, their strength.
