At Hoofprints we rehome and rehabiliate welfare horses. When they come to us they are withdrawn, often very underweight and weak, they require alot of understanding and ptience to bring the best out of them. This takes months. We have since rehomes over 21 horses in the last 9 years. “It was a delight to visit Hoofprints today and witness its fantastic works. Lucy and her volunteers do a wonderful job, not only in teaching local children and adults to ride, but also in rehabilitating and caring for horses in dire need of care. “Lucy has a wealth of expertise and it was clear that the invaluable instruction she imparts is filling youngsters with an enthusiasm for riding which hopefully will last a lifetime. However, the team there know as well as anyone that riding lessons, even though Lucy’s charges are competitive, are beyond the pockets of many people. Her particular ambition is to reach out to youngsters with learning difficulties, mental health problems or who simply come from low income backgrounds but would love to learn to ride. “I do hope that Lucy is able to secure some funding from charitable sources to make this possible, and I greatly look forward to following the progress and development of this excellent riding school.” Quote from John Bercow MP

Fitness classes in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan - Zumba | Yoga | Strong | HITT | Circuits | Insanity In 2010 and after nearly 13 years of Nursing, mostly within Critical Care, I realized it was becoming a huge challenge to keep a healthy work life balance. My daughter was a toddler who didn’t like to sleep and as our families lived too far away to help on the daily childcare, it was time for a change. I decided to take a career break and train as a fitness Instructor so I could continue working but in a more flexible way. It was initially intended as an interim measure but I have never looked back. It all started with Zumba Fitness. At the time it was deemed the latest fitness craze. I became qualified as an ETM (Exercise to music) Instuctor and certified in Zumba Fitness before running a couple of classes in my local town. I continued to add to that over the years and I now teach Zumba Gold, Strong nation and I am certified in Zumba Toning, Zumba Sentao. I am a fully qualified Personal Trainer and a Hatha Yoga Teacher certified in Ashtanga, Pre and Post Natal Yoga and SUP Yoga (Stand up Paddle board) Yoga. I think that it is vital to keep enhancing your skills and knowledge to keep your classes fresh and exciting!

We are an OFSTED regulated Nursery and Primary School. We deliver the EYFS (Early Learning Foundation Stage) and the basic understanding of an Islamic curriculum to your child. Here at Darul Madinah we actively promote working together with the parents/carers of the children within our care. You are the most important people in your child's life and only by working together can we ensure that your children will achieve and develop to their full potential whilst having lots of fun and adventures during their time with us. Our provision is for 2 - 4 year olds and presently we can cater for up to a total of 68 children. We provide two different sessions where the parents can choose the most appropriate time for their child. The morning session runs from 9:00am to 12:00pm, while the afternoon session runs from 12:45pm to 3:45pm. In addition to the morning or afternoon sessions, we can also provide full day sessions for working parents. We can accomodate admissions throughout the year (Autumn, Spring & Summer). Children usually joining the term after their second or third birthday. All our staff are fully trained and experienced. Most of our children from early years usually progress to our Primary school. We recruit for our primary school throughout the year.
