<div>Imagine a large ice cube. At its centre shines a beautiful glittering jewel. The jewel represents your innate joy and wonder - but because it is encased in a block of ice you don&rsquo;t have access to it. The ice in this image is a barrier, a barrier which prevents us from accessing the jewel of natural joy. This barrier is created by our &lsquo;rigidly held limiting beliefs&rsquo;. Our thoughts, attitudes and behaviours which keep our jewel of joy frozen and seemingly out of reach.&nbsp;</div>

<div>If you want to access your jewel, you need to melt the ice. You can do this by simply putting it in the sun. The sun in our experience is mindfulness or awareness, and it is this quality which helps to melt the ice and reveals your jewel of nature joy.&nbsp;</div>

<p><strong>Would you like to learn how to develop a regular meditation &amp; breathing practice &amp; gain tools to support you in an increasingly challenging and uncertain world? If so, READ ON...</strong></p>
<p>During this course, you will develop an in-depth personal experience of mindfulness meditation and dynamic breathing techniques and learn to build the foundations of a sustained personal practice, with a view to applying this in your life. The programme will consist of 6 x 100-minute sessions on Monday evenings, with a focus on background information, personal reflection and - most importantly - practice. Each session will build on the previous one, and homework exercises and recorded practices will be given out each week. You will go away with a 70-page handbook full of background information, poetry and guided practices plus you will gain access to an online podcast with guided practices led by your Mindfulness coach. The course will be delivered on&nbsp;<strong>Zoom</strong>&nbsp;and you will have the opportunity to share experiences of the practices with a community of learners, all from the comfort of your own home.</p>

<p>Dr Ross Deuchar has a PhD in Education and Sociology from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and has over 25 years of experience of working in education and with clients in business, social care and penal settings. He is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Practitioner, having completed his training in this area with Mindfulness Scotland, whose teacher training course has been accredited by the UK Network of Mindfulness Training Organisations. He has been practising mindfulness meditation for almost a decade and also engages in a daily dynamic breathing practice. As well as being a Mindfulness and Breathing coach, he is a certified Life Coach, NLP Practitioner and Fitness Instructor.</p>
